I am seeing £40 too instead of £26.66 as per title
I need to read slower... thought the cordless was 26.66..
Any ideas about battery compatibility with other brands...?

It does look remarkably identical to the Worx hedge trimmer.

Any good?

Any good?

Yes I have this. Its a bargain. Get the cordless one.

After cutting through the cords of three trimmers I decided cables and garden equipment is not for me - so have gone competlely cordless. I have a McAllister branded trimmer - which looks exactly like this - even the battery looks the same.

It cuts down hedges, thin branches very nicely. It has enough power and battery life is good.

Did you also get the cordless hose?

Does the battery from your McAllister trimmer fit the McGregor one?

Thought this seemed like a good deal initially but this seems superior for a few extra £ screwfix.com/p/t…175

I bought the titan one a couple of years ago based on the reviews and while initially it was fine, it became blunt very quickly. This left the cut stalks shredded rather than a clean cut. A Bosch trimmer on the same leylandii hedge has been fine.

The Bosch costs how much?

The Bosch costs how much?

It was around £39 on offer. I liked it so much I bought it's big brother, the Bosch AHS 70-34 when it was down to around £112 on an Amazon lightning deal.

I really struggled trimming my large hedge with the Titan after only one summer's use, and the Bosch is like a hot knife in butter as a comparison.

Having said that, I'm tempted to give one of these cheaper wireless ones a go, but would need at least 2 batteries so I can rotate charging due to the size of the hedge.

Give the Titan a try if you fancy it; I might have just been unlucky. Screwfix have always accepted returns from me without any fuss.

Having bought one last week, the batteries are compatible with the OLDER Eberhaur (And Homebase's Guild, which makes sense because Guild used to be Argos as well?). If you bought your battery tools at Screwfix a year ago or older, your batteries will fit. The newer Eberhaur batteries are the same as Ozito, and the plastic runner rails are too wide.
So far, not a bad tool at all. Surprising stamina for an 18V.

Ah, slight setback on it's third outing. (26 days old). Suddenly slowed down, and a considerable amount of smoke came out of the motor. Argos could only refund me, as they had no replacement in stock, and the online option was now £60, so as far an online swap went, it was 'computer says no'.
