Ginger cake and custard 👌
Love these!
Love ginger cake
49p in home bargains - 2 for £1 in Heron, Farmfoods and numerous other retailers

Also 2 for £1 in Lidl and B&M

Because something is half price it does not necessarily equate to being a good buy, the marketing Psychology strikes again

Half price I always get 2 for a £1 in Heron or Farmfoods
Our Heron hasn't had these in for several weeks now. Plus i've noticed that when bought from Tesco, they are tastier and far fresher than from any of the budget freezer shops. So in my book the extra 17p spend is well worth it.

never came across any major date variation between supermarkets, for example i noticed in Tesco today date April 2020 - Lidl at 2 for £1 May 2020 - as for freshness unless you spend your life tasting Ginger cake it's just an opinion

obscene profiteering by Tesco and similar cunningly disguised with the normal half price nonsense

I quite rarely eat Golden Syrup cake. Yet when i bought some from Tesco and Heron within a week of each other, although the dates were similar on both, it was surprisingly easy to tell that the cake i had bought from Tesco was spongier, moister, and was even slightly tastier. That is the opinion of somebody who not only holds an opinion, but also an opinion of experience. Which i then went to the effort of sharing with everyone here in an innocent attempt to just be helpful.
Your obnoxious and insulting thinly disguised variant of a "Get a life" retort, was definitely unnecessary. You seem like quite an arrogant, cynical, and somewhat unpleasant individual. Ergo, i actually feel sorry for anybody who has to spend Christmas with you.
