Meaco 20L Low Energy compressor dehumidifier is part of our Platinum range of dehumidifiers. When it comes to dehumidifiers this is pretty much as good as it gets. This is why it has won the "Which?" Best Buy award in 2014 - 2015 - 2016. DehumidifierReviewHQ said - "It’s hard not to be impressed with the Meaco 20L Platinum. It literally sucks water from the air and had no problem dealing with the harsh test conditions we put it through. It is really easy to use, comes packed with energy saving features and can be left to run virtually unattended. When compared to other refrigerant dehumidifiers we believe this one comes out on top and, because it is backed by Meaco’s fanatical support, is a perfect buy which you can have complete confidence in." The free HEPA filter is proving to be very, very popular with customers and is the only type of filter that you can buy with a dehumidifier to remove allergens smaller than the eye can see from the air such as pollen, dust mites, mould spores and pet dander.

One from Screwfix is drawing 180W and is cheaper.
It's been in my basket for a while and it's always this price. I'm waiting for it to fall.
Funnily enough, I saw that in Which? and wondered whether there was a better price than the one they quoted. It's quite expensive - though doubtless very good - and high prices never go down well on HUKD, no matter how good the item.

Now, if you post a 15p chocolate bar however............
I bought one of these 2 years ago and it's still running strong. It's well made and relatively quiet but only kicks in if the moisture levels meet my set number. You need to buy the extra filters to keep it tip top but I'm still using the second one in a pack of three for about £30.00. I spent ages researching these and definitely invested in the right model.
I just got the Meaco Zambezi £250, it's fantastic. I spent 2 weeks reviewing many different types, very happy with my choice
It's just a shame there were no deals, but no doubt one will appear now

I'm sure you know this, we can get these from under £50 to over £300+.

As with anything else, you get what you pay for. We have an Ebac 3850e (£200) which works great. I bought it after a lot of research and trying several brands that were cheaper and had all sorts of gimmicks. Anyway, it has made a huge difference in the air quality, moreover haven't used the tumble dryer for months.
Good price for a good dehumidifier, what ebac customers dont know ebacs are noisy and after 2 years they start freezing up, had 2 different models with same fault (ebac claimed in both cases to have fixed the issue) !
in comparison meaco is a dream!
