Looks like a good deal on a aircon unit that has an "A" rate with 9000BTU with heat function and remote. And a 2 year warranty...

I bought the 10000 BTU from Meaco direct for £369 (Not a deal, normal price) and test run it today with quite good results. The noise everyone is complaining about is for me more a white noise and I am sure no reason to not sleep during the next heatwave as the point is that the temperature is acceptable so I will live with that. We had today in our upstairs bedroom 22 degree and I managed to cool it down to 19.1 degree within an hour running on 20 degrees for the first 30min and on 18 for the remainder of the hour. The electricity cost is not as bad as I was thinking (We are on an Octopus tracker 18.94p/kWh) and it was between 340 - 995w low fan setting.

This is not as I said an offer but maybe helpful for some who want to buy this brand on offer or not. (edited)

A good deal for an air con with heating function, especially from a proper brand like Meaco. They are much better than these no-name brands people keep comparing them too.

N.B. that this is the CH version of the MC9000. It doesn't appear to be listed on Meaco's own website. (edited)

A very good point about people comparing this model with other (Usually some crap Chinese model that no one has heard of) that are cheaper. These are the kinda members that hardly ever post a Deal- IF EVER! but always have a GO at those who take the time to do so.

People might be able to find this deal cheaper somewhere else. But with Costco, you'll know that it has an easy return ethic.... (edited)

Anyone have experience of the bigger ones 12000 and 14000 units

I used to quote aircon. We used a rough formula of 125w per m2. Had to google the conversion:

    kW = BTU * 0.000293

    12000 * 0.000293 = 3.516

    3516W / 125 = ~28m2

That’s a pretty decent sized room! Like 5x6 almost.

Bought one few weeks ago, does anyone know when i will get to use it. It's not getting warm enough . Hope i haven't wasted money.

You'll need it for around 1 month, but it changes each year - you definitely won't be disappointed when the heatwave comes along, trust me.

I saw this @Costco today as I'm looking for a 9000BTU that's a well regarded brand. Not sure if this is the cheapest you can buy this model for or not! So thought I'd post anyways. Is there anyone out there that has the Which Report to see how this model compared to others please as my subscription expired a few months ago. 😏🚬

Lol I just realised your the OP no wonder your taking my comment so personally lol listen it’s not about the deal or the item it’s actually one of the best AC units I’ve purchased I’m gutted I ended up returning it as yes the price has gone up enormously.

I just ordered from the manufacturer's site - next day delivery and free flexi-window kit; also cheap(er) than Costco at John Lewis.

Nice does yours have the heat function as well? I couldn't find it on meaco website

Is it possible to use this without the window kit? For example the dehumidifier you can either empty the tank or use the flex pipe.
    Thanks in advance.

Decided to leave the 14000 meaco unti ends up costs over £500 for double you can get a mini split fitted.

If £1k is too much I would consider the electriq 12000 easy fit DIY that you might be able to fit yourself as it's not f gas. It's the only one that seems to sell to the open public. Other even though it's not fgas won't sell it to public .
