I've tried to make Meccano with my 7 year old a couple of times...hateful hateful stuff. The polar opposite to Lego, particularly the instructions.

So I called maybe around 15 stores NW of Birmingham, none in stock. They sounded like they never had it/heard of it. Some stores told me that I'm the 2nd/3rd/4th to call asking for this, so I just thought I'd save everyone some effort ...
