nice tv box like the fact it has feeds in
Any idea if the remote actually works at distances over 2 metres please? Reason for asking is I have a NexBox A95X and the remote control is total rubbish if I am more than 2 metres away from the box - not just my box either.
I own the box the remote works fine from anywhere in my kitchen which is large..

Try your current box with 1 of these uk.gearbest.com/air…363 it solved the problem for me.

The box in this deal is only Android 5.1. Will it run the latest Kodi? I know my box with 4.4 doesn't.

OP .. a bit more information in your Deal Description would help everyone I believe?.

Eg:
"Amlogic S905 DVB T2 + S2 4K Media Player".

And/or:
"MECOOL KII PRO TV Box Quad Core Amlogic S905 T2 + S2 Android 5.1.1 2.4G + 5.0G WiFi Bluetooth 4.0 H.265 Decoding Multi-media Player".

And a mention of the amount of RAM/Internal Storage space for this too wouldn't go amiss?. :-)

Thanx.
There are a number of these Android TV boxes with hybrid dual tuners but there isn't a single one that has yet been designed with what for me would be a far more useful twin DVB-T2 tuner, which would make for better use in the UK with the ability to mimic a standard STB and offer the extra benefits of Android, IPTV and 4K, meaning that it could be a fully all round option.

I'm not sure if this can be used with both DVB-T2 and S2 able to be used at the same time.

For what it is though, if you can take full advantages of the hybrid tuners then it's reasonable price for a Mecool.

I use this box daily in my kitchen, its not twin tuner but it does have pause record function with micro sd card and running iptv works brilliant so you best of both.i have ordered another for my father which gives him the 2 options if the iptv is playing up.

Think you're missing the point.... This is not just a normal Android box, it has tuner inputs for both satellite and terrestrial TV.

INTERESTING!!.

You mean like that of those V7, V8, AND V9 Boxes (that sell in place's like eBay), by any chance?, thanx. :-)

Not quite.

Those are dedicated receivers.

This is an Android box with a facility for it to use the receiver option, as well as the added general Android app functionality plus 4K.

Nice!!.

But I swear those V7, V8, and V9 Boxes also have an embedded Android 'element' about them also?.

I personally don't own.either, lol.

But I know someone that has one of those V7 Boxes regardless, and yes, it's sweeeeeeeeet!, hehehehehe.

So, I'm assuming the OP's Box fair's better than that of those other 'V' Boxes I've mentioned above then?, or ... (as I'm clueless on both, so an idiot's breakdown of sort's wouldn't go amiss either, thanx) that's a genuine question by the way. :-)

They are Linux based, which does tend to enable modifications.

It all comes down to what functionality you want and what each option has to offer.

If you want to use a wade range of apps, games etc and also want OTA/IPTV TV then these are more suited as an all in one box type solution.

If you just want the OTA/IPTV TV functionality with what for some boxes will come with more support, then they can be great.

Personally if in the market for the latter then I would check out the Zgemma range.

So, let me get this straight, IF I wanted a 'Box' similar to my earlier mentioned 'V' Boxes, but I wanted them to be all singing, all dancing, etc ...

With SKY capabilities, OTA/IPTV TV functionality, and what have you's, lol.

Then the OP's Deal is rather my best then? (over that of a V7, V8, OR V9 Box instead?), or ... thanx. :-)

Possibly.

Android devices (especially rooted ones) can have issues playing Sky, Netflix etc but if you can get one then yes, it can be a pretty much all in one box, with one exception in that if you have DVB-T2 requirements (Ariel Freeview) and you want to watch one program whilst recording another then there isn't an Android box on the planet that can yet do that. It's only a single tuner option for DVB-T2.

It often requires a lot of research to find the right one.

But if you do want a box that supports OTA, IPTV and has dial DVB-T2 tuners (plus one satellite) then the best value one right now is the Zgemma H5.2TC and I would favour it over any of the V boxes.

Sweeeeeet!, thanx. :-)

I'm assuming that the Zgemma H5.2TC Box to which you speak of is this one then:

zgemma.co.uk/zge…2tc

By the way, it's fresh out of stock on Amazon. :-(

Lol

eBay has this though:

m.ebay.co.uk/itm…RS0

And interestingly enough, the eBay seller describes their Box like this:

"Genuine Zgemma H5.2TC FTA HD Tripl Tuner Watch One Record Two At Same Time."

Official UK Distributor * 100% Original * NEXT DAY DEL

Unless I'm missing something ...

Yes that's the box.

Triple tuner as I mentioned yes.
2 x DVB-T2 (Freeview watch one and record another/record two as long as you are watching one) and a single Satellite tuner should you be able to make use of it..
