Yes it's a return, cat B, but look at the description for Category B, which sounds OK (unlike other sites).

"This unit is a customer ‘no fault’ return which has been checked and repacked in original packaging or suitable alternative packaging.

There will be some very slight marks on the unit. These will only be slight and will not affect the performance of the item. For Televisions, Mobile Phones, Ipods & Mp3 players, Laptops & Tablets, this will not include any marks on the screen at all."

So, seems a good deal at £55 cheaper

Super cheap for anyone looking for a very basic laptop!

need a laptop for elderly relative - internet shopping only. Is this any good or are there cheaper / more appropriate ones out there??

Good laptop, comes with Synaptics touchpad.

Seems an ideal entry level laptop to me, and avoids the truly crud bottom end AMD CPUs.

Most do, not really a feature to bother mentioning.

Your easiest option is a Chromebook. They're very fast to boot and pretty hard to mess up. Similar price.

100% agree. If that is all you are looking for. If you wouldn't get them a touch screen phone because too difficult then you don't need one of these either.

A Chromebook can complicate matters when you want to do simple things like print for example, however they are an exceptionally quick way of browsing, pretty hopeless for Office related tasks though, Google Docs is no match for MS Office for example.

Good luck with your ELAN Touchpad

Are you ready for School tomorrow.

Hot, but why do they have 25 of these if they're 'no fault' returns??

No fault return = the buyer found it to be ****!

Great price but Medion have REALLY crappy build and components (I've got one).

"internet shopping only"

just placed my order, thanks for posting, I think its a fantastic deal

Got mine this am not a mark on it
? Has this ever been returned or just clearance stock.
Anyway perfect basic laptop for my 10 year old.
Will use these guys again....!!!!

Mine arrived today, no marks on the laptop at all. Could tell the box had been opened, but you can't complain for the price.

Mine was perfect too. Total bargain.

Ran like a dog out of the box, which might have put some people off. Removing all the bloatware from Ashampoo and Kapersky sorted the build right out. Also windows 8 needs a couple of hours to chill out and sort out caching, indexing etc.

Now runs like a total dream.
