I'm looking for a decent quick laptop for 16 year old daughter. It seems like a good deal to me but i'm no expert so any advice would be welcoming.

Deal link (Google web cache) until HUKD fixes its links to Medion UK

About time we had a FHD laptop with 8GB RAM and 256SSD under £500. And 24 months warranty. Hot indeed.
And HUKD mangling links again?

hot

Ticks all the boxes for me spec-wise and a bonus that it had 2 year warranty and is sub £500.

Was thinking I'd see what deals come up black Friday but very tempted by this.

Looks good. Anyone have an idea how long the battery lasts?

Can't see any reviews anywhere? I ordered the Xiaomi air 13 over a month ago and not even been dispatched yet so given up on it.

Great price. If it was 14" or smaller I would bite.

Meets requirements such as 1920x1080, decent CPU, ram and decent SSD so what'll be the reason people will give for their cold votes I wonder?!

Easy. Would you be seen with a Medion? (but I voted hot)

Signed up got my £10 voucher but can’t decide! To buy or not to buy!

I have an older Medion and never had any issues, now after a laptop for my son, decision time.

Same here, was thinking of going for the HP from ebuyer which is down to £440 but doesn't have SSD, although i could upgrade that myself and it would only cost slightly more than this.

Benefits of this is price and warranty but i have HP laptop which has lasted years so i trust the brand, decisions decisions

its 15.6 inch screen which adds to the weight. There is nothing to complain about at this price. I would be happier to see a I5 7300 processor but it definitely is a good deal.

Just ordered
Well chuffed with this.

I've had 3 medions and never had a problem with them.

This or the Acer Aspire ES15 that was posted this week? hotukdeals.com/dea…597 Bought the Argos one but trackpad is noisy so thinking of returning it.

The medion, full hd screen and i5 cpu over i3 on the Acer

Are we sure this is 1920x1080?

The website says :
17.3" Full HD LED backlight display with IPS technology and resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels

which is clearly wrong because it's a 15.6" screen!

Other sites show the E6435 as 1366x768

I noticed it referencing a 17" screen but believed that to be the typo error as under specs it lists 15.6" 1920x1080 - obviously if it came and was 1366x768 then that would be grounds for a full refund etc

edit: searched around and found other sites which state 15.6" with 1920x1080 too such as this site and this site. Also the E6435 is a generic model number i believe and you have to include MD60632 in your search as some sites list a E6435 as having a 128GB SSD as well as a 1TB HDD such as this site here

I was thinking the same , but would hate the hassle of dealing with a return

Bit the bullet and ordered one! Fed up of looking and not being able to make up my mind until the deals gone!!!!!!

From what i can tell that is referring to the Medion E6435-1128 which has the 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD, never understand why manufacturers don't just use entirely different model numbers though

Is the warranty collect & return?

Am trying to call them on their Sales line to get them to check the resolution... holding for 10 minutes and no answer - some sales team they are!

Think I'll let this one go but good luck all, I hope this is Full HD !

I've never heard of this brand???

It's Full HD, stated in specification,

Resolution: 1920x1080 pixels

medion website states it clearly as full hd Resolution: 1920x1080 pixels

so although there is an error on the website, with the screen size it definitely is full hd.

Median are a well known brand - sold often through the likes of Aldi. They have been established a long time and consistently produce well priced conputers - although not exactly bleeding edge, they often come up with incredible offers. From my knowledge and experience they are a better brand than Acer.

"Medion AG is a German consumer electronics company owned by Lenovo"

I've had a couple of Medion desktops - last one bought about 8 years ago and now retired.
Customer service was excellent on the one occasion that I used it. Switch on the front panel broke and I received a replacement from Germany within 7 days.
Since they were taken over by Lenovo I've heard that they're not up to the same standards that they used to be.
Any comments re the Lenovo ownership?

Me too! I got rid of a 2017 dell which was floppy and bendy as hell. Bought a Medion Eraser, worlds apart in actual physical built quality

Hot. Anyone had problems with them? Maybe it's the way we use laptops but we've had some issues with the screen case coming apart on some of the older laptops we've had. Never tried Medion but that price is pretty good

This looks a cracking deal.
Have been looking for a laptop with decent processor, ram and an ssd drive.
Although Medion aren't a greatly known brand in terms of the general UK buyer, but looking at the reviews etc on line and they appear to be a solid brand.
Very decent spec laptop and 2 yr warranty... This one has taken my fancy and added straight to my shopping basket.
Have some heat...
