You have to include the £6.95 delivery making it £435.95 still a good price for the spec with a 1080p matte display. Should also include the 12 month standard warranty with Medion.

Awesome spec. A full-HD screen at that price is a bonus. I owned a 2nd gen i5 Medion for 2 years and it was faultless. Would happily buy another. Heated.

If this was offered by a UK dealer, I might consider it but not from Medionshop.

i got one of these 2 days ago, so far so good any questions just ask, although replaced hard drive with a samsung evo 120 and installed windows 7.Also! to get free delivery create and account put in your basket and go to pay, but dont pay, the next day you should get an email with a free delivery code ! i think the code is specific to me so if other people can try it, it would be great!

What is standard of the chassis, keyboard, and display (viewing angles, reflections, brightness)?? Sorry for such a vast question but at this price I would expect it to be lacking somewhere, considering it for myself.

Firstly its plastic but its sturdy, keyboard is fine nice to type on, no flex when typing normally. the touchpad buttons are quite loud when you click, bit annoying but i just double tap the touchpad.

The screen is great my previous laptop is a vaio and had terrible viewing angles this is much better. The screen is very bright. and reflections i cant see any when the screen is on, i can take a pic comparing this and my vaio.

tempted to buy this and sell the father in law my old medion p6624 thats still going strong with an SSD + WiFi upgrade.

what's the screen like at 1920 - isn't text very small on 15"? come back 1280x1024, all is forgiven!

If only this was being sold by Aldi with their 3 years warranty. With a Medion product I HIGHLY recommend at least 3yrs warranty.

For those who are skeptical of Medion. Medion is british, and also has a formerly known s IBM, NOW lenovo as investers and have a 10% share of the company. Also, if you want exceptional spec for the price with 3yrs warranty included, Aldi sell them on occassion.

Brilliant specs and price.

I have no much trust in their Akoya line, I have seen some poor attempts, the Erazer one on the other hand (by MSI ?) is very good ,though

does not exist? anyone have product link?

So is this a good brand to go with?

Yeah, the brand wins a lot of awards and unlike the big brands such as HP and other you actually get the software disks included.. With others you have to buy disks to creat a "recovery" disk. Which is basicly copying all the original software so you can reinstal if all is lost, including the pre-installed WINDOWS

According to the Medion page, this does NOT have a 1080p screen or blu-ray drive -
medion.com/gb/…4A1

Pretty certain this is the laptop the OP posted the deal for, same model number, same price.
If so, the Lenovo Z500 from Amazon is a better option.

You posted a deal for a Akoya P6635 costing £429.
My link points to an Akoya P6635 costing £429.

Yeah, looks like a completely different model, and no other P6635 exists on the Medion site.

Does it not say Matte HD display in the description, last few words? I may be wrong though!

I gave my son one of these for Christmas…..hours of frustration later, I have given up and am waiting for Medion Tech Support to contact me. The touchpad area is the problem, it is unresponsive when you try and single click/double click. The pointer is responsive to the touchpad but you have to use 'Enter' for the system to take the action! The touchpad is also acting the opposite to the device's setup i.e. the left hand button is doing what the right hand button should be doing but yet the device's sensor setup is for 'right hand'. I have checked the device's setting with my existing Lenovo laptop….they are exactly the same and so should act the same! I have downloaded the latest touchpad driver and restarted…no joy.
My own stupid fault really. I had 7 days from receipt of delivery to set this laptop up and yet I gave it to my son expecting it to work from the box! So unhappy son, foolish father whom is angry with Medion. I have no previous dealings with this company, just thought I'd share this issue with the community.

Free delivery now anyway better cpu and 1tb sshd ^^^^^

I take it back - no dedicated gpu or blue ray if that's your thing
