Nice specs, pity the screen res is average (I prefer 1600x900) and it's a bit ugly but still decent value.
Yeah, shame about the resolution
I don't know how people can vote this cold :O! It has an Ivy Bridge i7 + the Nvida GT650M
Incidentally here is the 1080P model with Bluray for £749 before cashback.

medion.com/gb/…_12
Amazing value! I'm looking for an ultrabook with these exact specs...if only it was a bit smaller and lighter...Very tempted
HOT, heat added

If I needed a decent laptop just now, I would buy it
I'm tempted, I may pay the extra £150 for the 1080P screen, bluray and extra 2GB of mem though.... hmmmmmm
shame their customer service and repairs suck. My Medion laptop was away for nearly 3 months for a replacement keyboard!

First they shipped it out to the wrong address (my OLD address!), then they held it in their warehouse in Germany, despite me calling and leaving a note on my account with the new address..

Personally, I wouldn't touch them again.

Unless they improve their CS, I would never purchase anything from Medion. This is a good price, though but I'm not voting becaue of pathetic CS.
Great spec, expect this to get incredibly hot on your lap playing a game on it though...
seems like good spec laptop voted hot
Have a medion laptop 3 years now found CS ok replaced 2 psu,s just called them sent it out was here next day did even have to send old ones back.Repaired one still using a spare also did free upgrade to win 7 and they were very helpful on phone
Would not hesitate buying another Medion
Hey Dave did you order this laptop?

no I didn't, I can't find any reviews on it even though the spec is amazing for the price,
would appreciate any other feedback on the brand/ model

Most of the medion laptop reviews I've seen for other kit gets average to good reviews depending on the model. Plus if you don't like it you can always send it back within 7 days if you don't like it, I think its worth a punt personally.

Here is a review of a Medion E6228 that uses the same chassis (and possibly screen) as the one you posted, although the finish on the hand rest and the back of the screen is different, they gave it 4 stars and said it had "good design and build" which is a good start...

This has come about a month too early for me but I'll probably be getting the 1080P model at the end of July if its still at that price.
Voted Hot as it is a cracking deal, but I would not buy a Medion. Nonetheless what an enticing deal.

He/She's referring to the cashback gained from using topcashback.co.uk I used it for this laptop and am going to get £20.15 which is a little over 4.03% of the price excluding VAT if Medion pays up. So the price of the 1080p version should be about £724 post-cashback if my calculations are correct
Just ordered it too. I'm excited to see if it can keep the temp at a acceptable level
im looking at getting one too, please let me know if its any good for gaming in real terms, i know based on specs it should be pretty decent, but I heard the 650m with this spec is the ddr3 version.

I never understood how can people make judgments on build quality after owning the product for few hours. is it just the fact that it hasn't fallen apart already?

also, when you state that regular TN panel with 1366x768 on 15.6" is great, you're either blind or never seen anything better so far.

This arrived to me yesterday and I am pretty disappointed tbh. Maybe I should have expected this with the price tag but

still, my emachines 15in laptop which was bought for £200 from staples Christmas 2010 is far better in every way except

specs it seems. The screen is poor (although I've never seen a matte screen before), the keyboard is horrible (keys are too

spaced out and doesn't feel nice to the touch while the lettering is too large and bright), the click pad feels flimsy and the

whole thing feels cheap and looks cheap with the horrible, clunky plastic chassis and odd shape. I would rather pay an extra

£100 for the Lenovo z580 like I was originally going to do. This is the first and last Medion I will every buy.

The catch is that it is a medion...
First post but I had to do it sorry! Hate to rain on your parade but if you're spending £400+ on a laptop why skimp on the brand? It really does make a difference to overall build quality.

I work at a University IT department and see every possible kind of laptop pretty much from dealing with students and I can tell you these will fail in a year or two. Cheap and nasty regardless of the CPU speed. Go with a decent Lenovo or Acer over something like this, or even spend a few quid more and grab a MacBook Air. I don't like to see people waste money on a PC that won't last long at all.

Medion do good laptops don't they?

No. Not even slightly. Wouldn't touch a Medion with a massive barge pole. Truly shocking CS and you'll find a lot of corners have been cut in the quality of the laptop. Sorry, but I'd honestly recommend saving a bit more and buying from a reputable brand

I have not found the cut corners in my £380 medion laptop (that plays Skyrim with the High Res pack with out an issue) yet. Even found it better than most in one way 2x hdd bays (one now fitted with SSD) That is not this model though so maybe a different story.
