Nothing is upgradeable in an all-in-one....is it...?

They are like a laptop, so i woudl guess HDD and Ram should be upgradeable. but 4GB is plenty and if your photo editing or video editing then an i3 Medion isnt what you want.

I think its only available at Asda living only as they have more variety of computers. Also not available online at Asda direct.
Asda direct has Medion Akoya P2026 D - Pentium J2900 2.41 GHz - 4 GB - 1 TB - LED 19.5 in.
Price: Was £399.00 Now £299.00 .
direct.asda.com/Med…l=0

this has small screen also less in specs and discount is only 100 pounds while the one I have posted is now Half price.

Decent price. I would assume that the RAM is laptop modules - upgradable to a degree. But the lack of a touch screen is really killing this.

No stock in Watford, Luton, Stevenage, Biggleswade or Hatfield.

I used my finger to dial some buttons on something called a phone. I then asked the person who answered

Hardly anyone uses touch anyways.

Windows 8 ......... No No No No ..... not on a desktop or laptop!! It will drive you INSANE!!

Do NOT do it - or at the very least change the OS when you get this home, Win 7 is OK.

I have Win 8 on a laptop and it makes it the worst thing I ever have to use ......

Windows 8 is ok, on a touch screen.

Windows 10 is better, it solves some of the problems introduced by the touch screen design of Windows 8.

You do realize the large start screen is completely optional in 8.1? And if you want a start menu, install Classic Shell, Start8, StartIsBack, or one of many start menu replacements.

Please don't suggest Windows 10 Technical Preview as a main OS.

I disagree. I have found the older generation seem to struggle more with Win 8 than previous versions. If you have a touchscreen it's great. Otherwise it is a bit more work for your mouse. I use the touchscreen as much as the keyboard on my laptop. I certainly find it to be faster than Win 7 and miles better than Vista (now that WAS a horrid OS).

No, but if you use this PC in the kitchen, it may be ok for now. It works for me on my laptop, not on my PC.

Anyway, it is going to be better than Windows 8, I think that much most testers agree.

Just stores within easy driving distance. Most stocked medion pcs - but not this model.

Win 10 resolves a lot of the issues of 8 with the extra speed over Win 7 and more techie explorer ,taskmanger but missing Aero Glass which some folks have fixed in 8 and 8.1 ,still in development for 10.

I have tested it myself with VirtualBox and it seems decent, I like the way windows have depth now and less border width. The start menu is decent enough and metro apps in windows makes sense. The only problem I have with it is the search button on the taskbar and the search in general opening metro apps and searching the web all the time.
I wouldn't use it as a main OS for security reasons.

Am I the only person that doesn't like Aero? Using GPU to render the desktop, causing issues with many many apps. Reverting to no-aero when running desktop recording software, or if running a D3D app along side aero turns it off. No thanks!

I have to disagree with this comment too. Due to having nerve damage (extensive right hand, arm and hand problems), I use the touchscreen on my HP all-in-one more than the keyboard. I guess it's like Marmite; you either like it or not. Personally, I'd be lost without the touchscreen features on my laptop or all-in-one.

LOL. Seeing as uptake of Windows 8 has been worse than even Vista, I think most people would question that view. Microsoft itself has acknowleged it screwed up big time and promised the next version (Windows 10) will bring back much of Windows 7's UI features.
