Still a very fast and superb multitasking cpu 2 years on, this seems very cheap for the spex included, considering what others are charging for similar and available at the moment!

Wanting a laptop to simply download quickly and edit gopro videos, am I needing something as powerful as this or are there better cheaper options? not into gaming too much

Any decent i7 8 thread (4 core) will do the job with video editing, would suggest a 17.3" screen ((FHD or higher)) or even a 15.6" 4K screen, to get the best if you are doing it on a laptop, after a super fast ssd / nvme 2gbps drive, the memory is most important, try and get at least 16gb for your money, if not even 32gb, any 5th/6th/7th/8th gen i7 will do the job, the gtx1050 Ti in this deal, will also support 4k output, so you can have your actual video software editing output screen in 4k on your TV / external big monitor, to make it even easier. Look out for laptops that have MiMo wifi cards fitted, you need more bandwidth if you are downloading / uploading video files if you are connecting via wifi that is

I bought my X6603 (the i5 version) from Argos in January for £720. I like it a lot BUT the fans are very noticeable! I usually play my games with headphones on but I'm rather glad the wife's hearing is a bit iffy otherwise I'm sure she would object!

In some regards I wish I'd hung on before buying it. Prices have dropped considerably in the last few months and I agree with the comment that at this price, you should be looking for a 1060 GPU.

Totally Convent. For me something with an i5 and GTX 1060 would be a better combo for gaming around the same £.

I had a ASUS N551 laptop. Now that had quiet fans but it was a much less powerful gaming laptop. When I'm on AC Origins maxed out on everything, the X6603 sounds decidedly loud. Don't get me wrong. I love the laptop to bits and Origins looks just sooooooo beautiful but...those fans....

Wow this is sounding like an expensive laptop! I get the idea though thanks for your input, currently not editing 4k footage but may be a good idea to future proof, cheers, going to keep checking the dell outlet store to see if a good deal comes up

found this with 10% off I can get 256gb SSD version for under £700. Good deal? or should I wait for better?

Seems a bit expensive for a 1050ti?
Only a 1050ti at that price?
At this price I would be expecting to find a GTX1060.
Sorry I know this is harsh but cold.

you can get a better brand such as asus for 800-900

yes cpu will be i5 but superior graphics card in the gtx1060 6gb

the 1050ti is ok but 1060 far better and will have much bigger impact on gaming

I've got the same, really happy with it
I would personally go for the ROG - ASUS they have years of experience building/designing gaming machines compared with the Medion (Mayebe the spell check suggested correction as Median is more of an apt name!) The ASUS is solid!
£850 for a Medion? No thanks.
Got to love the brand snobs, You do realise at this point its a Lenovo Legion under a different name. Anyway great laptop

Exactly no gaming pedigree compared with a ROG.
