That’s kind of what I wanted, appreciated the links and the bigger screen looks appealing but will probably pick it up in store while the smell of my old laptop fan is still fresh in the air
You are basically paying for the current gen I7. You might be better off if you can find an older laptop with previous gen i7 CPU but better graphics card. My old i7 Asus which is about 2-3 years old would blow this out of the water. Yes of course it was more expensive at the time but "if" you can find something like that then that it should be cheaper now and will serve you better long term.

I think the reason this has gone negative is exactly because of the 1050 GPU.

A year ago, I paid Argos £719.99 for my Medion laptop with a 1050Ti GPU. This laptop, with its lesser 1050 should be significantly cheaper by now.

Ignore the CPU spec as this has do little to do with gaming performance (yeah, yeah, I know ALMA...but it's just one game!)

It may not be relevant to you but if you're a gamer, maybe avoid the 1050? I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey in 1080p. The 1050 Ti is coping (averaging about 40 FPS) but only just.

Cheers I will have another look for a last gen processor but better GPU, it’s more an urgency buy due to the untimely death of my laptop but I appreciate the comment
I spotted this recently on HUKD...

The deal is now dead but £800 for this lappy was a very good price. Might be worth a quick Google to see if Dell have any other discount codes you could use to get close to the price.

Thanks for the 1050ti ACO FPS, that’s the problem I have a relatively good gaming PC, I just want a decent laptop for convenience day to day without it being an intel graphics £300ish laptop which takes forever too boot and will just gather dust.
If you don't want a laptop for gaming, you don't need to spend anything like £720.

Might something like this suffice?
