My parents mac book pro finally broke and so they need something with grunt for video and picture editing
I think it's a X6805 as there isn't a X6807 on the Medion Website. It comes in 2 variants, the i5 and i7 by the look of it.

MEDION ERAZER X6805 Gaming Laptop

  • Up to 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H Hexa-Core processor
  • Dedicated 6 GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Graphics
  • 8 GB RAM
  • 1 TB Hard Drive
  • 256 GB SSD
  • 15.6” Full HD IPS display (1920 x 1080) resolution
  • 2 Dolby Atmos Gaming speakers
  • Gigabit LAN
  • Intel WLAN AC8265 a/b/g/n/ac
  • Bluetooth 5.0
  • Windows 10 Home
Ports include: 1 x USB 2.0, 2 x Type A USB 3.1 ports and 1 Type C, HDMI, 2 x mini DP, Bluetooth 5.0, Headphone Port, Mic, SD Card Reader & HD Webcam.

Intel Core i5-8300H, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, 256 GB SSD, NVIDIA GTX 1060, 15.6″ Screen

Intel Core i7-8750H, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB HDD, 256 GB SSD, NVIDIA GTX 1060, 15.6″ Screen

Please correct me if wrong. If it is the X6805, it's cheaper in a few other places if you search HUKD.

Your very welcome. I couldn't even find a second hand one cheaper.
Looks like Medion have put together a similar laptop called the X15801 with an i5-9300H & Nvidia 1660 ti. With a bit of luck, this will be showing up in Argos Clearance for around £750 when I next upgrade in 18 months time.

medion.com/de/…2A1

Update...looks like the X15801 is just one of a set new Medion products. The higher ones add options such as i7/i9 CPUs & 144Hz displays. There's also one with an RTX 2070.

Bought one brand new last Friday from Ebuyer... Lasted less than 5 hours - it wont power on this morning
Not a great start to life with a Medion...
Been looking for a new laptop. Been looking at ASUS which my existing one is or Dell.
Is Medion, MSI any good? Not sure if these were just bargain brand laptops that may not be reliable, robust, not last a few years?
I believe they are re-badged Lenovo. The Medion has had great reviews and I paid just under £700 with the eBay offer and some nectar points. When it was working it seemed brilliant - amazing specs for the money - right up to when it stopped working, less than 5 hours after first switch on! So make of that what you will.

Laptop returned, no stock so getting a refund. What a massive letdown as it’s great spec for the money. Will have to hang fire and hope another eBay deal hits soon for this model

Medion and MSI are these decent laptops compared with say ASUS, Dell or HP? Are they reliable? Not likely to break down? Thanks
