From midnight this will be dropped to £799 for BF, the web page still has the current price of £999. Keep an eye out for the price drop

Flash sale - 24 hours only. Limited stock (apparently)

1060 gaming for 800 quid!

*Edit.

Apologies for the typo, I put 899 as the current price instead of 999. It's been corrected

Website says 999?

Lovely price for a lovely deal Just a shame about it only being 8GB Ram.

There's the i7 version with 16GB RAM and a 256GB SSD instead of 128GB. If that comes down a similar amount from £1,100...I'd be tempted.

Webpage still says £999...is it going to 799 or is it going to drop £100 to 899? Been eyeing up this and the I7 version today strangely. Tempted to pay the extra £100 for the I7 version as it’s a better cpu bigger ssd and 8gb of extra ram. Any idea if that will be dropping too? Seems like a nice deal though so hot from me

And thats why i said the website currently says 999 not the 899 that the OP stated.

Thank you for your positive comment.

Is it dropping to £799 though? The way I see it the £200 has already been taken off taking it from 1199 to 999. You can see where it’s slashed out. Then it says discount for BFbut not how much..

Don't for a second believe they have limited stock, they're just difficult to shift.

I subscribe to their newsletter and the one I got this afternoon says this will be going down to £799 at midnight. Here's a screen grab from the email.

Ah ok double heat! I might bite the bullet on this. Hear mixed things about Medion though...anyone with first hand experience with them want to share their thoughts?

Don't need a gaming laptop for black friday but fancy one anyway, would bite at a i7/1060/16gb for under £800 or i7/1070/16GB for under a grand, don't rate my chances but probably wouldn't be able to help myself if either of those deals came up.

Same! Especially the 1070 for a grand!

6th gen. I5. 17" is a no go for me. Hot price though.

Hi guys I had one of these when they were brand new last year, bought it for 850 pounds at the time on a similar deal. Everything is very good about the laptop until you play a CPU intensive game. I went from an i7/970m laptop to this and got worse FPS in BF1 when it first came out. I tried other games and it continued to be bottle necked, now don't get me wrong its a good laptop but it is noticeable for someone who enjoys a smooth experience. Ask me questions and I'll try answer.

P.S I sold it in Febuary.

Yup I bumped it up to 16gb, had to buy two new ones as I didn't know what was in there and wanted to keep them the same. Also there is a warranty plug on the back so if you go into the back I'm not sure if it voids it.

The i7 would be a lot better I would think, it depends what you are used to. I ended up selling and moving to desktop and it was the better choice for me.

My problem now with the price going to 799 is the I7 £300 better? I will only really use it when the Mrs has got the tv and for the stuff I can’t get on my PS4. Trouble is I want it to last a while too if I’m spending quite a bitlol I don’t want much honest...

The thing is, if you could read, you'd see that the OP STATED in the post that the price is still 999 pounds, and that IT WILL BE AROUND MIDNIGHT when the price drop happens.

Also, no problem for the compliment, will do next time as well

Its all up to you buddy, I don't think its 300 better but in wouldn't buy the i5 for 100 less either.

No first hand experience but a few guys over on the overclockers forum have Medion laptops based on the same chassis (clievo) and say the build quality is pretty good.

As mentioned above though, if it breaks down it gets shipped back to Germany for repair as there are no Medion service centres in the UK, meaning you'll be waiting a while to get it back. Customer service is otherwise good.

Not sure on warranty, standard one year return to base, i think.

Hope that helps

I' following the same deals as you...Its a big investment for me and I think I'm gonna hold out...keep watching the deals.

I'll be honest, the name is putting me off. I just don't know enough about the brand to pull the trigger. If this was an Asus, MSI, HP or Acer I'd have bought it.

Sadly I don't think you'll ever find a cheaper 1060 equipped laptop. These Medions just don't seem to sell, hence the ridiculously low price.
