Is the the most expensive thing Aldi have ever sold?

Shame it isn't Lidl, could have got £5 off! 😁

Oh,and if the people voting cold could tell us why and suggest an alternative, it would really help those of us who aren't up to speed on this sort thing. Cheers!

Individual parts will always be cheaper but if you don't have the confidence to assembly then a pre made build is good value

Would building it yourself come with a 3 year guarantee......nope!
That alone is worth a £100/200 to know if anything fails it will be replaced FOC

Some parts bought separately will get you a whole lot more than a 3 year warranty, you can get a minimum of 3 years on a lot of PC components these days and 10 years+ on a few.

Is it ? At this price you could have a ryzen 3600 with 5700xt which is leagues above this really

for the average folk this is a good machine for the money.

you can buy all the parts for around 800 then you need to pay me or your local pc shop 150 to build it and test it.

So overall a good deal from Aldi plus the 3 year warranty will be fuss-free going by my past experience.

Heat added.

I was just pricing something up myself on PCPP and was struggling to get anything markedly better for the money (Was looking 3600 and a 2060).

My only concern comes with the 2060 GPU. It's competent, but I'm not sure how it'll hold up in 2-3 years time compared to it's Super counterpart or 2070 Super (UInderstanding that they cost a lot more)

how well has the 1060 held up in 3 years? absolutely fine.

the 2060 is a 1440p card and will be fine for the next 2-3 years.
Not a bad syustem, but why skimp with 2666 ram? 3000 really is only a couple of quid more!

I would go AMD though atm.

Look at Aria PC for example. Choose your own parts. Get Ryzen 3600 and AMD 5700 for same price or 5700xt for about £30 more. Much better performance. I’m sure there must be other companies with similar deals.
For just pick up and buy, this is ok though.
The good thing about this though is give it a couple of weeks and it will probably be reduced to about £600

It will be insta buy for me but I highly doubt it.
38662577-rxNRu.jpgChose the lowest price components/brands to the specs of the Aldi version, and was actually slightly higher! Take away the windows 10 software as can easily get a legit key for far cheaper, but i'd this really isn't a bad price at all. Also the compatability issue was just a warning that the BIOS may need to be updated.

Why would anyone spend a grand on a gaming PC without knowing exactly what components are in it? Seems a weird proposition.
They also sell these on ebuyer, but a different spec

I would assume so since you can only by it online and pay £7 on P&P.
For that price and with only a 2060, I would get an xbox one X instead
