A lot of people can't afford an eyepad. But if you wan't summat to watch the England game on while you're fishing, 2 1/2 hours is good enough.

how good is the signal reception thou?

Exactly, I would imagine unless your fishing in the proximity of Emily Moor (or similar), then I doubt the single would be very good. However, things could/should improve after Digital Switchover.

(Voted hot for the price of the product, not the product itself)

Anyone know if this has a headphone socket? Can't see any reference to one on any site...

Good deal! About the signal, in areas where the analog signal has been switched off the digital signal is really good. (At least it is in my experience)

Hero! Thanks for pointing that out. I did read it but somehow missed it.

Heat from me - perfect to take to Silverstone for the F1. Wooo.

What channels do you get on these, all the freeview ones? Seems a good deal.

You'll be lucky unless something happens to boost the signal in that part of South Northamptonshire before July.

Even comes with a free magnifying glass so you can see the screen !

Really? I'd have thought if anywhere had decent reception it would be Silverstone. I'd have thought they'd have to provide decent reception and wi-fi .etc for the fans/paddock.

Anyone know if you get digital radio channels on this?

Digital TV signal comes from TV transmitters. Silverstone doesn't have it's own TV transmitter so you would only get the same signal that the local houses get which, just like mobile phone reception, is patchy in that area. Anyway it's not in their interest as you have to pay to hire these little handheld TV monitors at F1 races and this is broadcast from the circuit and nothing to do with normal TV.

Do not buy this, its only 50hrz and not even 720p. Get at least a 3d tv with supa dupa vision to be future proof (and freeview hd)

gave u some heat though
