I would have to say that is not worth the money, you can get a better baseline system from Dell or other such vendors. This is indeed a budget machine but it isn't at a budget price.

Trying to run Vista with less than 512Mb of memory will be a pain.

In case you dont know, when a computer says:

> Integrated graphics VIA Chrome9 HC IGP onboard

it means it does not have a separate graphics card (or separate graphics memory)

This means that the graphics is using part of the 512Mb of "real" memory.

So if the graphics is set to use say 64Mb of memory that is part of the 512Mb of real memory.

Using Vista with 512Mb would be difficult, using it with LESS than 512Mb does not bear thinking about.

saw EI systems 308 at PC World yesterday for £290 -Pentium dual core 1.6Ghz, 1024mb memory,250GB hard disk, Vista premium, also lower spec models for £218.00 & £189.00 both decent base models.
