One of the best deals I have seen for a GTX 1070 powered laptop. The processor might be older but it will still power through all your gaming needs especially since it comes with a silly 32GB RAM, 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD.

Not bad. If this was £1000 I might have bitten....don't forget cashback on top
Great price! Heat!
Let me get it straight, Medion, even though it's equipped with 1070, for £1300?!? Thanks, but no thanks...

I've heard good things about them myself from forums like overclockers uk and I bought one from argos myself, had to recalibrate the colours on the screen since I bought the TN version (so coming off of £1500 asus ips laptop it was very jarring) but after calibrating it I've had no issues whatsovever. Build quality on the outside is good, feels just as sturdy and similar materials to that old one I had (ASUS ROG G751JY-T7009H - 17.3" FHD LED i7-4710HQ Nvidia GTX980 4G 24G 1TB 7200 + 256G SSD BD Read Win 8.1 64B). Didn't want to spend as much this time so I bought one of these medion erazers since it was the cheapest gtx 1060 I could find and since I had 980m before I didn't want to go any lower than a 1060. No idea about internal quality but can't complain compared to my old asus that was having screen issues no matter how many times I sent it back for repair.
Not sure why this is cold? Specs are pretty great for the price.

Clevo chassis are some of the best value, tough and well cooled ones available, PCSpecialist and Overclockers rate them highly. The GSync IPS screen is rated decently and the components are akin to what you find on 1070 builds pushing £2k.

I actually voted hot on this one btw......god knows why it's dropping colder than the Antarctic!
Ofc it's cold, because it's not 120hz screen, and in fact its Medion with probably very bad cooling. 1,3k you can find better laptop for sure.

Cold.

It's Clevo with a Medion badge on top. It's exactly the same machine as Scan 3XS computers, PC Specialist, XMG, Sager and on and on.

All of my laptops are Clevos of various strains. I've never had a cooling problem in thousands of hours of use.

Better laptop for £1.3k? Link it
I have this laptop and I got it for £1100 during the summer and I absolutely LOVE it. Dont get put off by the Medion branding. It's a rebranded Clevo P670RS-G. GTX1070, i7 6700HQ (would have liked 7th gen but oh well) and 32GB of RAM with a 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD allows everything to load fast and run really well. It stays cool but people do complain once the fans ramp up. I configured mine to run slightly slower on battery power to save power and to make the fans run slower so people in public don't complain. Like this, I can play Skyrim for 2 hours on a single charge! The screen is bright with G-Sync and mine ran at 75Hz which I overclocked to 100Hz. Everything is buttery smooth

The biggest downside to me is the battery life once you crack up the performance. Under max load, the battery will last about an hour (minimum) but other than that, can't complain since I mainly am plugged into the wall.

Damn the voucher link is no longer working. Other than which magazine sign up, any other voucher codes? I see the first drive dive is the M2 type, I take it the second is just a regular spinner? What are the upgrade paths for this lappy for hdd, are there additional slots? I have a good eternal drive if I need to run dvd media so not really bothered about the dvd drive if one could be replaced with another hdd?
Thanks in advance.

There are 2 M.2 slots and 2 2.5" options. The SSD uses 1 M.2 slot and the HDD uses 1 2.5" slot. The 32GB RAM model uses all 4 slots of RAM.

Thanks mate but it went out of stock next day, found another model with 1070 in it but newer CPU, new via ebay for £1399 and split this into two payment via 0% interest on pp credit. The only thing that lets it down is the shitty second drive spinning a 5400rpm. Not had a proper look, can you upgrade ssd without dunking the warranty?

Depends on the manufacturer. Some don't mind it being opened while some will just straight up reject the warrenty if it's opened. If it's another Medion, then I think it's fine. From opening my laptop, there was no seal or anything to signify it was opened.
