According to the website specs it has Digital Audio Out (SPDIF) (coaxial)

Yep ,but Oracle is better

LCD or led ??

LED backlighting, as is the norm nowadays

You'd think it'd work in the UK... seeing as that is where it's being sold!

LCD or led ??

The specifications on the webpage says it's an "LED backlight TV".

Good deal if you're after a budget TV, especially with the £10 off and the ROKU stick (+3 months entertainment pass) which is worth £40 on it's own so technically you're getting a 50" TV for around £200. Heat added.
Voted hot
On paper this looks a very good deal and with free shipping.
No Internet browsing though .

In the past I had a couple of Medion desk top pcs, but they only lasted a couple of years before packing up. One the motherboard blew and the other the power supply.
I don't know how long Medion have sold TVs but even if someone else makes them it would be worth checking out long term reviews compared to a brand like say budget Panasonic .
Bit confusing on the web browser , looks like I stand corrected

"The integrated web browser allows you to surf the internet on your television – accessing your favourite websites directly from your living room."

and
"Catch up TV includes:
  - BBC iPlayer
- ITV Player
All 4
- Demand 5

Internet browsing - No
Search function - Yes
App available - Yes "

Plasma all the way! (_;)

Yep ,but Oracle is better

Theres no adverts on ceefax. But you may need to pay a license.
Might be a stupid question as I'm not very tech savvy but does it have freeview built in?
freeview built in?

Yes
Anyone know or can confirm the sound quality on this, cheers

Yeah I read the spec ta, I really wanted optical spdif not the coax type.
Am tempted by this, quite hard to find many reviews though. Does anyone have one that they can comment on the picture quality?
Possible 5.5% cashback too

Can you provide more details, Thanks

Probably like every other giant TV. At £250, buy a cheap soundbar.
"I wanna Roku into Sunlight..."
finally got mine delivered today, they used xpd couriers who are nothing short of crap.

anyways the important bit, the TV. it looks great, has got freeview hd which looks fantastic on it. the smart features aren't the best which is probably why the roku was thrown in.

Xbox one on this TV looks crisp with no lag at all. sound is a bit "tinny" but playing around with the settings has improved it.

very happy with the TV for the cost now I've finally got it! would recommend to anyone on a budget

Thanks for your update jenko65, appreciate your feedback, do you know if it is indeed "a++ energy rating" as there is the wrong EU energy label on the website and I have rung twice and they have no clue. Does it have an on mode wattage consumption in the manual or energy label on the box? Thanks in advance.
it's definitely a++ and the manual states 45w on
