What’s this for do you know?

It's a fat that your body doesn't store but gets metabolized by the liver and converted to ketones and used as a energy source by the body. I used this when in ketosis as I restrict carbohydrates. But can be used by anyone, it's a energy source that acts like carbs but doesn't spike insulin and is a fat that the body doesn't store

Triglycerides are three fatty acid molecules attached to a glycerol molecule. If the fatty acids contain a double carbon bond they are called Unsaturated and are usually liquid at room temperature. If there are no double bonds they are saturated. Most people refer to them as fats and oils ie butter and olive oil. The 'medium chain' bit refers to the length of the fatty acid chain. SOME studies suggest a diet richer in mcts MAY help weight loss but that is still conjecture

And why is that?
You can be damn sure your body will store it as fat, if it puts you in a caloric surplus!

Well you don't understand insulin from your response for a start, secondly, if you don't eat like a 12 year old, 99% of supplements are simply a waste of money, third, if you eat more calories than your body needs, you'll gain weight regardless of what supplement you're taking.

Your body will store other fats you consume during the day if you are in a calorie surplus. But your body wont store MCT.

Wherever you learnt stuff about diet/fitness etc - I advise you remove that from your memory and go seek credible information.

What don't I understand about insulin. This does not cause a insulin response. Where have I mentioned anything about weight gain or calorie intake.

Because whether something causes an insulin response or not makes no difference to fat loss for a start, so the fact you mentioned it in the first place made me realise everything you type will be nonsense.

But I haven't mentioned fat loss for a start. I mentioned insulin because I mentioned ketosis. The 2 don't mix. Secondly this acts almost like a simple carbohydrate I.e fast acting energy but without the insulin response that when it quickly dips after a simple carbohydrate intake drops rapidly causing hunger. Also insulin is a storage hormone which when elevated causes the body to store fat. I'm trying to put it in simple terms for you to understand. But I don't understand what you are ranting about

Because you've stated something like this "I used this when in ketosis as I restrict carbohydrates" (No one cares).

" But can be used by anyone, it's a energy source that acts like carbs but doesn't spike insulin and is a fat that the body doesn't store"

You're posting this, and as I said, £11.47 is just a waste of money, even if it was free, there is no need to take it -- period.

No far from it lol I mostly eat whole foods but mct has a place in my diet because of the benefits and I occasionally use whey but prefer meat unfortunately my gym doesn't have a Cooker so whey after a workout it is. Other then that I eat whole foods.
But you dismissed this mct because it's in powder form, coconut oil a source of mct has extra calories so doesn't fit into my macros.

Or just go home and cook food you know or do you think you, the below average Joe gym goer needs protein instantly after you do your 5kg dumbbell lunges and ab crunches?

Yup, the only supplements I'd ever consider are obviously Whey, vitamin d, and possibly fish oil - give or take a few if diet is very bad.
