!THIS DEAL IS NOT FOR REQUESTING CODES FROM OTHER MEMBERS - SEE BOTTOM OF POST IF THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED!

Get 2-for-1 cinema codes for a whole year with Meerkat Movies.

You can obtain a maximum of one code per week and it can be used on either Tuesday or Wednesday of that coming week.

To get this for £1.55 (approx.)

Just visit Compare The Market and obtain a quote for a single day's travel insurance in the UK, set the date for about 3 months in advance.

My quote at £1.55 came in from ERV.

Whichever company comes back cheapest, follow the link to proceed to their website and complete your purchase, once this is done - go into your Account Page on Compare The Market and click "claim your reward".

It may ask you to enter the details of the policy, but I got access to my Meerkat Movies code as soon as I did this.

Et Voila!

Update: wanted to add that Cineworld Unlimited customers can use these codes along with their unlimited ticket.

Update 2: If you want to ask another HUKD member for a 2-4-1 code, click here: Meerkat Movies Trading Thread

Maybe because he thought he might go one day. I've done the same
Just save the policy number. I have been inputting the same policy number for past few years and it keeps getting accepted!

OP, when I tried doing this recently after finding my year had past, it wouldn't let me buy. I did have the date set for the next day though, so after seeing you mention 3 months ahead I shall try again! Heat

I bet insurance companies love all the money for absolutely nothing because of this.
Cold. Mine cost about £1.16
Thanks OP just ordered along with "Hacienda" how not to run a club, looking forward to both.
Thanks for the reminder - mine had just expired from last year. I set the travel date to a week from now (I am actually travelling on that date too!) and it all went through fine and instantly, and am now a meerkat movies member again!

Like I bought hundreds of deals and never used them
If you don't use the code, then give it to people who need it in the meerkat codes thread, it helps a bunch when the less fortunate want their kids to have a good time watching a film without breaking the bank
I done it last year. Expired earlier this year. Was wondering if there was any point doing it again. I find it that there are lots of nice people on the forum that give out codes. So probably not necessary to do it again.
Do you get charged for requesting code like orange did?
sounds like a plan! just ordered for a few cheeky trips to the cinema during the school holidays
Does this also work with the nectar redeemed movie tickets?
Slightly confused - is this buy a policy for every week you want a code or can you use the same policy and go into your account each week for a year and get a new code? So is it approx £1.50 odd for a year of 241 or £1.50 odd each week you want a code?

No - you receive codes using the Meerkat Movies app, or via your comparethemarket.com account through a web browser.

You can't send an SMS to receive a code like you could with Orange Wednesdays.
I've managed to get it free this year by putting this as the policy number ERVCTMXXXXX (XXXXX any 5 random numbers) hopefully this works for others

Et Viola!

Viola? Viola?

Regardless, I don't like deals like this. It's using a loophole to get something. All this means is that in the future the deal will be harder to get for normal people who are buying something legitimately.
Alternately keep an eye out here
Thanks for the tip - I used for August 12th when I am taking a 5 hour journey down to Southampton. Always good to have insurance.

It's not a loophole. It's a legitimate purchase and qualifies for the deal - people having been doing it for years with no ill effect to others.

I hope you can now sleep at night.
Thanks for spotting the typo.

I love it when people get all uppity about deals like this. There were a few on my NUS card deal, it's really hard not to bait them. I don't understand why some people are even on this site..As if it'll make any difference to people buying stuff 'legitimately'.

IT'S A COMMERCIAL ENDEAVOUR. YOU'RE SPENDING MONEY! IT'S WHAT THEY WANT!

Like me with Sky. Have Sky Movies for last 2 years and never watched a film yet!
thanks
I used my first Meerkat cinema code on Tuesday - took my 10-year-old son to see 'Despicable Me 3'. I thought I would get the cheaper ticket free, but instead they gave me the 'free' ticket and I only had to pay for my son's.
I got this when I made a purchase for car insurance, haven't used it yet :P
oky doky will try tnx
better value than the family ticket. a dumb question, do I have to buy twice using different emails for 2a2c?

Yes - if you wanted two codes separately, you would need to purchase a qualifying product with two separate email addresses. Probably best to put it in your other half's name too, or mum, dad, brother, sister etc....
