meerkat movies 2for1 annual pass from £2.23

Found 16th Apr 2016
my 2for1 movies pass through meerkat movies just expired that I got from last year's post.

if you choose travel insurance for one day, in the UK, for one person (I chose business cover) you'll pay around £2-3 and then be able to claim another year's 2for1 cinema tickets.

I managed to get mine for £1.97 last year. it's a good deal but probably getting voted cold because it's been advertised before
I think it is getting cold votes mostly because people normally have to buy insurance products anyways so technically will not have spend extra on top to get this.

IMO good deal.
on the TV last night they were advertising the 2 for 1 deal, and also you get a limited edition Meerkat film toy at the moment.

Looking for meerkat toys?

Unfortunately travel insurance doesn't qualify for a meerkat toy, but you can take a friend to the cinema with 2 for 1 tickets for a whole year with MEERKAT MOVIES. Go to your account to claim your reward.

Buy your home or car insurance or switch energy with us to qualify for our most heroic reward yet; 2 for 1 cinema tickets and a Limited Edition toy.†
good find op, heat added

Does this work at Odeon?
KiNG

what cinemas are in the deal ?

I haven't found a cinema near me that isn't included. That includes: Odeon, Vue, and an independent cinema chain.
Good deal even if you only go to the cinema once a year!

Yes people will buy insurances throughout the year but there's no guarantee that comparethemarket would be cheapest in the first place. For £2.23 it's a solid bargain! Thank you.
Is this only to be used on certain days?
I did this the other day, got a year's worth of 2 for 1 movies for £2

The original post is still here with further info:

This is usable on Tuesdays/Wednesdays

Thanks alot op.
I bought this at the end of March and it took a long time to process and eventually declined the reward so not sure if it will work for other people. That was for travel insurance around £2.50
I have done this for the last 2years and had no problems and Mario99 you can only use them on a Tuesday and Wednesday
Similar to hayley I bought 2 quid or so travel insurance and after a long delay it stated the cinema pass had been declined. Perhaps they are getting wise to it?

I doubt you have.

It was launched in late March 2015. Before that was Orange Wednesdays.
Thanks OP
last year they let me have both the meerkat and the movies. but this year they didn't . but i need to buy travel insurance x2 so will be able to get meerkat movies on two accounts.
I am thinking of doing this and my partner too, could we then each take a child free? I know this can only be used on Tues/Weds but is it valid during school holidays also?
How long does activation normally take i onow it says 24-48 but is it sometimes quicker

Don't worry, you saved that much already
Wow.. that was easy! 8). I am waiting for my reward now (24 to 48 hours)
It will be very useful with my Cineworld unlimited card
Thank you very much OP
Can you combine with student discount?

There's nothing to "get wise" to; you're entitled to Meerkat Movies if you buy travel insurance. There were some issues at the end of March because of the increased traffic for the Batman/Superman toys, so if you think you were declined in error then just email the customer services team and they should be able to put it right. (I have some insider knowledge on this front)
I just realised I compared travel insurance for skiing in February via them so it already knew I'd bought it.. Went ahead and claimed the reward and they gave me a code for this tuesday/wednesday instantly.. Didn't need to wait 24-48hours?
is this valid for jungle book 3d?
Mine expired today too, but it gave me an option on the App to renew my membership for another year for free by replying to a few questions.
did this today. works fine
