MEGA CHEAP late flydrive deals to Orlando from £186.50pp for 21 DAYS!

Just saw a poster on another forum note that MyTravel are selling some bargain late deals on flydrives to Florida. Available from Glasgow, Manchester and London.

I hunted around a bit, and came across a 21 day flydrive that was only £392.80, departing September 7th.

There are a host of other dates available. If you're into a cheap deal with a very weak dollar...it all adds up to a great value for money holiday.

(Tip: Ignore car hire and book it seperately from a host of UK based firms for around £200 fully insured for 2 weeks)

EDIT:

When you goto the MyTravel website, in the 'I'm looking for' section for the type of holiday, scroll down to the option marked 'Last Minute' then input the dates etc.

Sorry, was in a hurry to post this.

The prices when you complete your search do not match what comes up on-screen, it appears to be due to the final costing being discounted by £40 per person for online bookings!

You can actually deduct the price of the in-flight meals if you really wanna save - that would take a further £34 off the cost!

Appears to be poorer deals from more minor airports.

I made an erse of this somewhat, as was in a rush.:whistling:

The above price in the screen dump is for TWO ADULTS!

Forgot to add that the following airports have deals, although they aren't as good as the deals from London Gatwick/Manchester/Brum.

Birmingham
Doncaster
Belfast
Cardiff
Newcastle

Accomodation over there is very cheap, especially when you factor in the strength of the pound. I used Priceline.com, and got a 4* resort in Orlando for $45 per night, a 4* hotel in Ft Lauderdale for $68 - plus taxes

Bit taken aback by the prices, as I paid a great deal more for the same time of departure!

Yeah, like you said, don't consider the drive portion of this, just the flight. They rip you off with the insurance, so hire a car from a different company. £186.50 for a flight is a great deal though, if you wanted to go for 21 days. I'd actually prefer a shorter time though, but if you have the time, it could be fun!

Great deal for two flights. Voted hot and going to take a look for my parents.

As one option you could take the CAR HIRE but buy your top-up car insurances in the UK before you go at bargain prices by comparison with hire companies likely charges.

eg see insurance4carhire.com/

Yes, sound advice. We went with them last year for only £99 17 days

Hi, Good find. Voted hot.
Recommend the ]Airline Network for good value for money car hire.

Best Regards.

I'm going to Orlando next week, so I'll give them a try.

There are plenty of other date variables available - there are 7 and 14 day flights too for around the same price. The dates of departure are also well varied.

Below is a screengrab of a selection of dates available from Gatwick (remember, the prices are subject to online discount):

I would be wary of these supplementary insurers.

I believe there is a caveat in their ]T&Cs stating 'Not recommended for use in conjunction with fly-drive programmes in the USA and Canada.'

I'd personally recommend ]uscarhire for all inclusive package - comes in around £200 for 2 weeks.
