Mega Man Legacy Collection is a celebration of the 8-bit history of Capcom’s iconic Blue Bomber. Featuring faithful reproductions of the series’ origins with the original six Mega Man games, the Legacy Collection will remind long-time fans and introduce newcomers to what made Mega Man such a popular and iconic character. Mega Man Legacy Collection will feature all six games and much more.

In addition to the six Mega Man games, Mega Man Legacy Collection features new ways to experience the classic games with the Museum Mode and new Challenge Mode. Challenge Mode remixes gameplay segments from all six games, with plenty of scaling difficulty objectives for experienced players to conquer yet serving as a good starting point for new players, too. Museum Mode contains a comprehensive collection of history, high-res art and original concept pieces – a mega treat for any fan of Mega Man and video game history.

Offer ends 20th of January.

Thanks, another one for the collection.

I've managed to beat three of the bosses in the very first Mega Man. Sweet Jesus, games were hard in ye olden days.

Good find.

Yup. Cutman was doable but the rest.... patience and time

They were all doable when you knew the proper order. That said; there wasn't an internet to tell you the proper order back in the day. Many hours of trial and error, but some of those levels in 2+3 I can play in my mind pixel perfect.

You may have beaten Cutman... but what about KUNG-FU CUTMAN!

Shame digital but heat for price.

No shame at all, far better and more convenient to have them right on the console to play anytime. Kind of ridiculous putting 6 8 bit playformers on a bluray disc, wouldn't even use a thousandth of the space available....

True but if game gets taken off then the history for this game is wiped. It's like it didn't exist. Thankfully there is NTSC version on disc but costs over £20

As a gamer I care about the history of games. Imagine a digital generation of games (there will be no retro games in the future).

66p a game, and worth every penny. Heat from me:)

What's wrong digital, I buy everything digital

True but if you want to take that path. Which I did last week as birthday present to myself. Buy this

amazon.co.uk/Meg…ionamazon.co.uk/Meg…ion

You can play it on a PS2 emulator or a modded/NTSC PS2 as it never came out to PAL regions. But it includes Megaman 1 to 8 plus 2 arcade ports. Games not included in the legacy collection.

So I am more than happy to get digital version of the legacy collection.

I am a long time gamer too (started with the Speccy and Atari 2600) and care very much about the hobby too. Though I agree there is some danger of digital only games being lost, I think the danger may be a little overstated as last generation a lot of people said by this stage both the Xbox 360 and PS3 stores would have been shut down and the games lost, while both are still up and running, albeit without many new releases, showing that even with reduced interest they can continue, though a cut off will come no doubt.

I think the answer might lie in emulation scene, something I have massive respect for as it allows all the previous, physical media based generations to be preserved and experienced by all. Yes, it may be legally dubious (though I argue it does no real harm) but it's value in preserving old systems and games even long after the last hardware dies out is invaluable to those that care about preserving their hobby....

Mega Man 2 is my favourite in the classic series - there's a band called The Megas, check out their album Get Equipped on YouTube

1. Rights. If company goes bust or falls out then the game gets taken down.

2. Hacked or do something wrong on PSN then you get banned and lose access to everything.

I'm similarly fearful of physical:

1. Go to the shops, get hit by a bus, die.

2. Alternatively: get it delivered. The postman murders you.

3. Leave the box on the floor. Slip. Die.

4. The disc becomes unreadable outwith your return period. Die of shock.

I have 3 different machines so digital it superior as it means I don't have to swap a disk from one building to another

probably no point in me buying this as I am terrible at platformers.
