What is it?
Motor Vehicle paint correction compound.
Thanks OP. Has anyone tried this with a rotary? is so which pad would be the best?
I bought some3m fast cut 1 L (£23), 3m ultrafina 1 L (£17) and some over priced 3m polishing sponge from ebay , I haven't use it yet.
Is this Meguiar any better?
The price seem decent for 3.78l.
Meguiar's have a professional range of detailing products, i myself have used Meguiars over many years and so pleased with results i have achieved with them i cant go with any other products, Yes this product is very good for the purpose intended- restores paint work, removing paint defects/swirl marks and light scratches!, 473ml of this product will cost you £25, this is a no brainer for so much more.

Regards
Hi Widdy I assume you use with a DA? Do you think rotary will make any difference?
Firstly how do you equate a pound or so off with a 'fantastic deal'? Secondly how many cars are you working on to get through that much compound? Do you know what the shelf life is? You are aware there's only so many times you can mechanically polish a car before you go through the paint right? If
If I were you I'd look at more substantial protection for your car so you don't need this so much.
I just use Feracla G3. I find that Meguires results only last a short time (do they use fillers in theirs?).
Good value but do you really need that much compound.. some of the fun is trying new products

Amazon RRP price reflection is not true (pound or so off) When i did the research i could not find anything of this kind less than £75 hence why i called it a fantastic deal, I am a Pro detailer and specialize in detailing motor vehicles so this much product will last good amount of cars. I need this much, I would be crazy to apply this product all the time and you only need it for paint correction only, Generally with this product shelf life is around a couple of years as long as it is sealed.

agreed, very good value. Having this on the shelf wouldnt do any damage and also in the world of detailing this is plenty and of course in the long run cost effective.

Yes i use DA, Should be fine using Rotary.
For the average Joe I can't recommend Meguiars Ultimate Compound enough, it's always gave me amazing results, you won't get 100% of the swirls out but it'll make it a hell of a lot better. The refine and finish the paint with something like Ultimate Polish.
Pads I use Hex logic Orange to cut and white to polish, following black for a wax but.... I prefer to apply wax by hand.
Anybody can machine polish a car it just takes a lot of prep like clay bar, fall out etc then you can't go wrong with a DA polisher

Meguiars 105 or 110 is also a good call
