You clay once a month! Where the hell do you live Chernobyl
Nobody should be claying a car more than twice per year, theres honestly no need.
Clay it and use a decent wax sealant which should last you 6 months easy

You would be better off with a 200g bar of Bilt Hamber clay bar for around £12, you can use it with water, but I like to add a drop of shampoo in. This pack is 50g so won't last you long

I did click and collect so was free for me to pick up on the way from work. So worked out slightly cheaper than amazon.

I've got OCD but honestly mate, no need to do it once a month. Is it tree sap, tar or fallout what you're trying to remove?
Are you sealing the paint with a good wax after you do it all?
I haven't clayed my car in a year just gone and I'm pretty confident the clay bar won't pick hardly anything up due to me keeping the wax topped up and regular washes.
Give BH a try, buy the soft clay and you'll be saving a fortune compared to the Megs
How do I take off tree sap?

thats what i do too, ive had this Meguiars stuff once when i won it in a comp and while its pretty good stuff the BH bar is way cheaper, bigger and water is pretty much free (barring the rates)

A bit of everything prior lockdown was doing 1500 miles a week so was finding tar etc all the time.
I use Ultimate wax after washing with autoglym then ceramic wax.

Once a month sounds a lot do you not find it marks your paint doing it this often?! as said above once a year maybeat most.

I have both this and recently started using Bilt Hamber. I like both - but I will just use Bilt Hamber now with my hose in hand and lightly spraying water... just as good and much cheaper.

How do I take off tree sap?

Try a tar remover. You can get wax friendly ones but for really stubborn sticky spots try Autoglym Intensive Tar

For general traffic film, grime etc.. try using a citrus pre wash. Leave it on to dwell and even agitate with a soft detailing brush. If that doesn't work for bigger/stubborn spots try a tar remover. You can get wax friendly ones or Autoglyn Intensive Tar which is paint safe but not wax safe.
