Choose "official standard > silver > China" icons to get this price. No Band 20

This has a 3.5mm headphone jack, MicroSD capability, all sensors. Great build quality, dual camera, good audio and awesome battery life (4000mAh - lasts all day, and more, apparently). Also quick charge facility (mCharge Meizu technology, charges fully in around 2 hours - 18W). Seems to be an un-removable battery, which is a shame.

Best camera (Sony IMX362 sensor) in this price range, according to reviews (usually that's where costs are cut with budget China phones).

No band 20. Cold for me.

I did try to add it, but it went into the moderation queue for ages....And is that you, Sam?

...oh, actually, my edit mentioning Band 20 is there. A Deal with a previous vendor (3GB/32GB in Gold) that's slightly cheaper (and gives you a glass screen protector) was nuked first time around.

Link seems to have got mangled with the delay posting - took you to the image link but I've fixed it.

Good price, pity about it missing band 20 as the specs are pretty good for £150.

I can also see Seller Coupons, not sure if it's account specific as I don't use Aliexpress that much! Takes a whopping 78p off, which potentially brings the price to £152.59!32201531-aAUN5.jpg
Edit: Forgetting my manners, Kensirstagwaff (awesome username) directed me to this Meizu model earlier on, on the Vernee Mix 2 thread. So, thanks very much I searched around to find the best price and watched a few reviews.

Here's the review this HUKDer mentioned, which got me curious (discusses the Meizu Flyme 6.0 OS - you can set the rear torch/quad-light flash to flash notifications (1:57), and enable Root in the menu on/off (4:30), display in sunlight/outside discussed (6:15), also external speakers at (6:45). Antutu/Geekbench benchmarks and PCMark 2.0 benchmarks vs Xiaomi 5X (7.30), Battery life/screen on time (8:20), Task manager/split screen (10:05). Gaming test (11:00), Camera Test (12:50), Video (13:42) - front camera records in Full HD, rear in 4K.)).

Confirmed it can run 60fps - has a Gyroscope, so it can be used with Google Cardboard.

Other specs not mentioned, from devicespecifications.com/en/…53d

Dimensions 75.2 x 154.6 x 8.35mm, Bluetooth 4.2, MicroUSB charging, Nano-SIM/Nano-SIM/MicroSD (guessing that means it's a dual SIM tray where one slot can be used for a memory card), Wi-fi A, B, G, N, N 5GHz, Dual-band, Wi-fi Hotspot, Wi-fi Direct.

Is mi max 2 worth the extra?

I think it's pretty cool that you can enable Root in the settings, never seen that on a mobile before - though I would hardly say I have much experience of China phones

Looks a nice spec , anyone used lightinthebox.com? I see they are selling it for same price

I find it amusing that Lightinthebox sells mobiles - I first heard of them years ago from a very long MSE thread about wedding dresses !

Thanks for the shout 😘! There is a 16gb version also , which comes in cheaper kimovil.com/en/…ote , but looks like only one colour . I think this might be worth the extra over the Redmi Note 4 for the camera if it's important for anyone . No doubt there will be a RN5 shortly , but it's hard to imagine how they will position it as Xiaomi seems to be painting itself into an ever-decreasing corner - I assume it would have to be better than the 4 but not as ' good ' as Mi 5X / Mi A1 ( Camera is 5X's advantage and Note 4's weakness , so if they improve that and processor it will really blunt 5X sales ).
If vendor installs a rom ,check that it's ota compatible - Meizu updates often

I know its not great that it doesn't have Band 20.but it does have band 3 and 7 are these that bad? Sorry never had a chinese or japanese phone so have no idea

Bought first time in my life Chinese phone after being with Samsung's and i can say I'm never going back to paying premium price's ever again. I have mi max 2 and don't see any issue not having band 20 on three network

it's only a problem if your network uses only band 20 4g ,namely O2 , Tesco ,Giffgaff and others . But it doesn't mean the phone will not work - seems to be the end of the world for some people . You're ok if your network is covered by other frequencies , and there is still 3g .

i have had few xiaomi phones on the three network without band 20 and my currently one supposedly has band 20.Absolutely zero difference it makes!! i cannot speak for other networks.
