Meizu make good phones at decent prices, the only issues with them is they never update so you will end up with the version of android that comes with it for ever

Banging price. For the spec. You used this brand before?

No mate, they've released a couple recently cheap with good spec. This and the note 8.
Meizu have been around a long time so can't be that bad.
Lots of features for the price, had a 16s (not band 20!) for a couple of months, in pearl white, the build quality for the money, was amazing, the only thing that is missing from this model, is the NFC, but it has the rest, they didn't even add NFC until the 16s was launched, but that cost me 3x this deal!!

With the SD710 in this and it being a global version for the money, its right up there with all the other £200 phones that you would buy in the UK, but this one is much lower!!

A brand to keep an eye on then I think, prefer company's using Snapdragon CPUs.

Well said. With Android 10/ Android Q out soon , it is going to be major problem. Voted hot for the price .

I had their Note series for about 5 years.
Excellent phone for the money ... But their software updates were poor. It never bothered me though as that was before Project Treble.

Fair enough. Probs once reason I'd look for Xiaomi over this brand but these might be good for cheap kids phones if the need one.
Chinese burner phones

Unlock the Xiaomi and there are a bazillion updated ROMs on XDA you can put on. Dead easy to do.

Ram and storage are exceptional at this price. If you buy it for your kids, they'll probably break it in 6 months anyway
Meizu are massive in China, and are possibly one of xiaomi's biggest competitors.

Quite similar to zte from memory...
Looks very good switchy

Sorry mate
Crazy price. Current phone ecosystem doesn't seem sustainable in the next few years.
Wish it has the NFC, then I'd buy right now. HOT though
got one of these on the way, gonna retire the mi max 2, thanks MrSwitch

No problem mate
Does this phone take SD Cards?
Better than the honor 8x??
Josh_millen26/08/2019 17:17

Better than the honor 8x??

I prefer the mid range Snapdragon processors, so it's a +1 for the meizu, however with the 8x there's better support etc.
wow at the spec to price ratio.

Heat for op.
Does not accept PayPal
Just buy the Honor 8x from Argos for £159.95.
Can't go wrong.....
Excellent deal...

I had an M2 4 years ago and the software and camera were great... Then poor material quality and assembling, both cameras used to get dust on the lens as the headphone jack port was not properly sealed... Shame

I've got a couple of Meizus and the build quality is fine, main problem is lack of updates as mentioned.

The mBack navigation system is excellent IMO although I don't know if it works as well without a physical button like with this phone.
