About this deal

Bit more expensive than the previous Melitta bean to cup costco offer but this is a different model with more features.
Best price I can see at the moment, hopefully useful for someone

The Melitta Barista T SMART Black Bean To Cup Coffee Machine is an simple to use coffee machine with easy one touch coffee making and a selection of 18 different coffees to choose from. Features a removeable milk cady for ease of use.

Melitta® Connect
With the Melitta® Connect App many of the features on your fully automatic coffee machine can be managed with your smart phone. For example, appliance settings can be managed conveniently and personal My Coffee Profiles can be programmed and saved. Practical tutorials assist you with cleaning and maintaining the appliance. A special highlight with this app is that you can create your very own coffee specialities. The order in which the ingredients are poured into the cup, the amount of coffee, frothed milk and hot water and further coffee settings can be managed individually.

18 coffee specialities
Thanks to the product buttons you can make the 4 classics espresso, café crème, cappuccino and latte macchiato at the touch of a button. The recipe book feature allows you to create 14 further coffee specialities such as flat white, ristretto, americano or espresso doppio.

Manual Bean Select
To perfectly prepare numerous coffee specialities, different types of coffee beans are needed to ensure the best possible taste experience. Therefore, the Barista T Smart® has a two-chamber bean container called “Bean Select“ (manual selection), which depending on the recipe and personal taste allows you to select mild coffee beans or strong aromatic espresso beans for example. The integrated ground coffee chute also gives you the opportunity to use coffee which is already ground.

The IntenseAroma feature can be selected instead of the standard brewing process. The result is an especially intensive tasting coffee - without having to change the amount of coffee or water you use. This feature can be selected for all coffee specialities.

My Coffee Memory
You don‘t want to set your personal coffee preferences each time you make a coffee? No problem! With the “My Coffee Memory“ feature you can programme your favourite coffee specialities completely individually. The Melitta® Barista T Smart® saves the preference settings for up to 4 people.

Italian Preparation Process
The Italian Preparation Process gives you authentic flavour by ensuring that the ingredients are added in the correct order according to the original Italian recipe. So for latte macchiato the espresso is added after the milk and frothed milk and for cappuccino it is the other way round.

Best Aroma System
With the bean to cup feature just the right amount of coffee beans is freshly ground and the ground coffee is used immediately.* The special seal on the Aromasafe® lid of the two-chamber bean container guarantees a real fresh coffee enjoyment experience cup after cup. The dark tinted container also helps preserve the flavour of the coffee beans.

Quiet as a whisper grinder
You want to enjoy making your coffee in peace? This is no problem with the quiet as a whisper grinder, it is not only quiet but also especially quick.

This is a really good price. I've had one of these machines in my office for 4 years, so far it's produced 25000 drinks with no issues.

I was tempted by the Argos deal on the Siemens EQ6 a while ago but didn't bite. I have a DeLonghi Ecam23.460 (the Cappuccino one). It's over 5k coffees since the start of lockdown but my only gripe is the milk coffees aren't very hot.

I have it set to high and I know it's my machine cause my parents have the exact same model and I almost burn my tongue everytime I have on at theirs cause I don't expect it. Mine is almost hot right out of the machine and very quickly drops to warm. I fill my mug with boiling water from making my wife's tea before I make my coffee but doesn't help. So keep being tempted by new machines and every one there's debate on the temperature and it puts me off
I bought the Eq6 from Argos and I'm just about to box it back up to take it back...
I'm tired of microwaving every brew for an extra 15 seconds. They are really cold, even straight out of the machine. 😫

Excellent deal. Bought one in the previous Costco sale. Still unboxed but did a fair bit of prior research. For those unsure of the differences compared to the TS Smart, I've summarised below:
    - Bean select - auto-select (espresso based and cafe creme based) vs manual slider on this model
    - Cup illumination - TS only
    - Recipes button - TS only
    - 21 vs 18 preset coffee variations
    - 8 vs 4 personal profiles
    - Best aroma system plus vs best aroma system - no discernable difference in their youtube videos.

In my view, it's not worth the extra £150 for the TS. Check out James Hoffman's video on how to dial the settings in just right.
Do you have a link to the James Hoffman video please? I'm having trouble finding it. Thanks!

Looks similar to the other Costco deal that sold out very quickly. Received mine this morning and it's built like a tank. Fine the start up, ready to taste the taste the 1st coffee later this afternoon. Well happy with the purchase

This is not the TS model, but I think the only difference is the electric coffee bean container. Anyway, I have the same model and it s amazing machine. The possibility to choice the coffee beans it is a plus. I use dark beans (Arabic + robust) for espressos and the other container, Iight roast (100% Arabic), for cafe lattes. The only problem I had, was the milk container and Melitta sent me, free, the aluminium one.

What was the fault you had with the milk container
I'm not sure, the milk wasn't frothing properly from the container (like a pressure problem) and the techical support told me that was the container and, they arrange to send me a new one (but they sent me the alunimium instead of the plastic one). After several months, the problem never come back.

The TS version of this machine was one of my best purchases in the last 2 years. Coffee is great, only downside are the lousy touch controls (they sometimes don't react, but it's nothing major).
Very true. Sometimes they don't respond very well

My complain is that there is too many coffee settings
By the time I'm gonna test all of them I'll have a heart attack

What's the difference between F83/0-102 and F83/0-101 models?
I was trying to figure out all the different model numbers the other day, I think the last digit is the colour between black or silver. You also get the F84 which I THINK has the stainless steel milk canister

How easy is it to clean the milk jug?

    Is this before VAT ?
