I'm in the market for a bean to cup but was looking to spend £500 max... does anyone know if this is worth the cash?

I received the melitta touch Cl last month for around £500 and it makes excellent coffee. I suppose what bells and whistles do you want? The Avanza is 449 on AO and is a which? best buy. You lose out on some features though.

We've got an older model, but very similar and makes excellent coffee. We use it to make mainly lattes and they are so much better than the coffee shops.

Thanks for your replies, well worth knowing.

I'm a latte drinker and a bit of a geek, so the milk carafe and smart functions are a must for me. That rules the Avanza out unfortunately.

So many bean to cup machines seem to do very similar things at varying prices. It's very confusing!

It doesn't help that I saw a delonghi prima donna for £500 ish a while back that I didn't buy - been hoping for that offer to come back really.

I'm having trouble working out what the difference is between the T Smart and the CI touch apart from the app. Any ideas?

Apart from the Bluetooth control, doesn't seem to be much in it. The only complaint with my machine is the lattes are not that hot. Think it's a common issue with fully auto machines. We've got a 3 grand coffee machine at work and it's the same.
I looked and am tempted, but honestly I'm leaning towards buying a really good grinder and a sage precision brewer while I think about buying something like the flair.
