Yes £3 less than this deal as it doesn't have the timer option which is well worth it in my opinion.

Thanks OP! Got one! Can anyone advise how many grams of coffee / ml water needed for a nice mug of coffee in the morning pls? Will only be for me, as wife hates filter coffee thanks in advance!

    55g/L ± 10%

The hotplate will cook and ruin coffee - just turn it off when it's done and use the microwave if it needs reheating.

Thank you, excellent deal. For me, Melitta is one of the best brands for filter coffee. I have a more advanced model that has been going strong for 6 years now with daily use, and got this one as a spare.

Been using this for weeks and it’s great. We use it more than our Sage machine as it’s quicker and easier.

Ordered, thank you! I bought last year 800 filters in another deal, I'm not ready to move from filter machine

    Received today!

Very good price. I use an ikea cheap tea pot to make my pour over filter coffee. This looks way more streamlined and does the dripping.

Oos but bought this instead as my machine is burst, this will do until an espresso machine I can afford turns up in a sale! Melitta Filter Coffee Machine with Insulated Jug, Timer Feature, Aroma Selector, Look Therm Timer Model, Black/Brushed Steel, 1011-16 amzn.eu/d/8…V4p (edited)

I've got the Sage too & I'm tempted to get one as it can be an effort making a coffee Barista style all the time especially when you're making multiple people drinks

    Brilliant, just ordered, thanks OP!

Ordered, time to replace my french press I've used for years which actually cost more! This seems more convenient, especially with the timer mode!

Here's the UK one, for those whose French doesn't go further than O-level (ie, me)
Edit: (though it doesn't have the Steel brewer, by the looks of it, so not sure it's exactly the same)

Just ordered, great post thanks! My first filter coffee machine, can I ask that it is ground coffee that you use for this, isn’t it!?

Mellita has a lot of offers on at the moment. No idea why it is about £70 more for a thermal jug over a hot plate model...

Not better no. This one is more modern with an LED display & has a timer etc. But I guess they must do the same job in the end so down to preference really
  31. Avatar
Sorry, me again! Are you able to disable the hot plate please? I can only see that you can turn it down to 20 mins from the 40 mins factory setting? I don’t want have a need for this function….. appreciate any info pls? Thanks!
    Avatar
Sorry, I don't think you can.

In these machines the hotplate is the same heater that boils the water. A 20min timer is probably a cost-effective way of accommodating both uses.
