Have these and they are absolute rubbish. Hard as the road and don't mould to your head in any great way. Always waking up with sore ears.

Need to spend much more to get decent memory foam pillows

Reserved, thanks.:)

seems a good price for MF pillows

I got some, they take a bit of time to get used to but I think they are great! pity I payed 13.99 a month ago! edit... you really only need 1 of these and they only really get comfortable when sleeping on your side. Once your asleep though your not gonna wake till morning! yesterday(sat)they had loads in the bournemouth store near tower park.

2 pairs for me ... thanks

Reserved one set, thanks. Not really in any need for these but as spares, great price.

Although these look very cheap, they are normally filled with memory foam flakes. These are normally shredded bits of waste foam from mattress when they are cut out of blocks. The bits left over get shredded and stuffed into a pillow. The result is usually a hard lumpy pillow.

The superior memory foam pillows are made by pouring liquid visco elastic foam into a heated mould. The result is a soft, flexible, slow recovery pillow that moulds to your head. You don't have to pay Tempur prices for these pillows. There are companies in the UK that make them.

A fantastic piece of information but completely useless without any back up with regards to where to get the superior ones at a reasonable price!

What is your definition of reasonable? A Tempur pillow can cost around £100. Would £20 for a similar quality pillow be reasonable?

Thanks for the info Yozzer, much appreciated. Can u recommend an alternative priced at say £20?

Collected mine today; I'm quite impressed with them for the price paid.

we need new pillows but not sure what to go for !

Tempur (£180pair!), Ergoflex (£70pair) etc all make these substandard 'flake' pillows. Instead of being solid, there's an outer envelope of foam, and then filled with the shredded bits.

They also make the moulded ones. And in either style there's massive difference in quality between all the manufacturers; as you say, some seem to be lumpy and it depends on the foam used, the size and edges of the shreds etc. But likewise, some of the solid ones are simply awful.

Also remember, people sleep in very different ways (and that's why tempur make both) - I can't sleep with the solid style as I usually end up in a recovery position when sleeping - If I'm very tired and sleep on my back (very rare) the solid worked quite well.

Arguably mine are similar, but I think you can squeeze them into whatever shape works for you.

Not expired, picked up two sets in store yesterday.

Couldn't use them as top pillows but underneath a feather pillow they provide good support

Picked my up today - really pleased for the price - thanks.
