Looks like a ten quid job !
Proper watch collectors know quality & the brand.

This is a solid version of an already classic model.

I have the Casio G-Shock Bluetooth GW-B5600BC-1BER which is the Resin and Stainless Steel one and I absolutely love it.

If I hadn't already got that model, this would be in my basket at that price.

Nice find
At this price I'd want sapphire crystal rather than mineral.

Great price right there with code even better!
Question for any knowledable g shock fans out there - is this actually better than the normal versions (e.g. more robust), or is it mainly the cosmetic changes driving the premium?

Also for anyone that owns one - how good is the bracelet? Looks chunky and satisfying, but the clasp looks a little weak possibly?

I think there is bluetooth build in plus premium braclet and body

This watch is built like a tank, the clasp is sturdy and milled, rather than stamped.
There’s something special about it, has a feeling of quality you don’t get from a resin G Shock, had a few compliments.

What's the new bracelet like > ? is it the one with the red links inside ?
£360 for something that looks like a £20 watch you could buy from the Argos catalogue in the 80s?!

I think anyone with eyes can tell you can't get this quality for £20.

Emperor's New Clothes. Horses for courses and all that. I remember these from the eighties and can only, surely, appeal to collectors. Give me a Seiko Chronograph anyday. I've G Shock for travelling and it's ace, looks like a braille watch though!
That is some blingy G-Shock. I like it.

The only negative for me was how shiny it actually is. It’s a bit too blingy for someone my age. However, don’t worry about the build quality or durability. It’s superb.

Sure, but you can tell this isn't a £20 watch even if you think it's ugly. There's plenty of expensive fashion watches where I'd say the opposite.

It really doesn’t look like a £20 watch, and the fact they made these in the 80s and still make them is a testament to their quality and popularity. They don’t do Gs for £20 and the name is synonymous with durability and functionality.

Good point. Although isn't mineral meant to be more robust? I thought sapphire was more scratch resistant but also more likely to shatter.

Actually these sold out quickly on release and were resold at a significant mark up. Clearly not everyone's taste but these are excellent watches. Worth more than every penny.
360 nicker for a digital watch - waste of money.

To be honest, it's my only criticism of the watch. All of the links are acrylic along with the case. The clasp is stainless. I was a big fan of the strap but it's actually very squeaky and doesn't seem that tough. That being said, it's a nice looking strap and hopefully the squeaking subsides with time

I've added heat to this deal for what is undoubtedly a very fine watch at a good saving. If anyone wants to get an idea of what one may wear like, you can go for a slightly smaller Skmei 1456 from AliExpress or elsewhere for about £13 or so. They are available in gold, rose gold, silver, blue and the one I got in black. Obviously not with the bells and whistles of the G that they are an homage to, and only available in normal display not negative, but I've been very impressed with the one I got on a sale for a tenner delivered.

All I know is that I have scratched or broken the glass in every watch I've ever had except for my current Citizen eco-drive Stiletto that has a sapphire crystal so that's a requirement for any watch for me now

Fair enough, experience tells!

Careful though as Sapphire is a loosely used term. Only pure sapphire offers the desired 8 scratch resistance, many of the cheaper impure varieties scratch at 5/6 (e.g. Apple watch) - so always check on that!
Thanks OP - have been watching these shiny ones but can't take the plunge even at £360 (and as someone else said - a bit blingy for those of us over a certain age).

So instead I got the G-Carbon with mutliple straps for £88.80 - it's £139 on the G-Shock website!
I've bit the bullet and bought one lol. The 30 day returns did it for me in the end, worth a go!

By “homage” do you actually mean cheap, Chinese copy that is in no way as good as a G Shock? They are awful. How could you even recommend one is a post about a G Shock? Casio test their watches for accuracy, durability and reliability. They have earned their stellar reputation. If you look in a sale you’ll get a basic G for £38. Why anyone would need those rubbish other things to save twenty quid is beyond me. Even a normal Casio is better and Argos are knocking them out at £8.50 today.

Yup
Oooh it's going hot I remember posting this for the same price and it plummetting sub zero ha!

Great deal imo
Describing it as 'beautiful' is subjective, as many will find it unattractive but hey if you like this type of watch, go for it brother.

Good price, good deal

Whilst there is no doubt about the build quality and pedigree of the Casio, there are some of us who can't afford/do not wish to spend £360 on a watch. The Skmei 1456 replicates the look of the Casio at a tiny fraction of the price if you like this style. I own a few Skmei watches which have also attracted compliments for their looks and I find them to be completely reliable and very accurate - that's all I need in a watch. There was a recent post on here where a Pulsar (Seiko group) watch can be seen to use the identical internal module to the Skmei:
hotukdeals.com/dea…590
I am a fan, the original 5600 resin version has been tested and survived a drop from a 16th floor building. This would be in million pieces.
Limited edition is a joke, every other versions are limited. Just to makes it like it's exclusive.
Way over priced, it's not even made of Titanium and no Sapphire crystal.

If you read my post, you can frequently get G Shocks for under £50 in sales. You’d rather own a few cheap Chinese knock offs than a proper watch? Surely a few of those equate to the price of one G Shock? I don’t think you can even compare the two.

Yes. The module case (which is underneath the metal front bezel that you can see) is steel with a screwback. It means it's absolutely rock solid and built to last decades. Nowadays most G-Shock squares (and G-Shocks in general) have a resin case, including the lug attachment points.37574758-hRfqO.jpg
This is how G-Shock squares used to be built back in the 80s. I don't know when they stopped. Today only a select few are built like this (eg Japan only GW-5000 which itself is £300 ish).

Secondly this model has a STN display, which basically looks perfect from every angle. Regular G-Shocks (eg DW-5600, GWM-5610) have some angles where they wash out or look like 88:88:88.

Thanks, looking forward to receiving mine tomorrow !
So, what does the Bluetooth do?
I get that I'm maybe in the minority with this opinion, but I've never understood people's willingness to spend hundreds or thousands of pounds on a little device that only tells the time, when you get that facility (and accuracy, too) built in to all digital devices now. Literally the only reason why you would spend that sort of money on a watch is as a fashion accessory. If that's your thing, you can get decent looking watches for not a lot of money. I have a discrete smart/fitness watch which I use more for the other built-in tech and it cost a fraction of the cost of this.
