Clarks are having a 50% off sale. Found these men's lace-ups - bargain at £24.99. Think offer is in store too, but probably better availability online

There are women's stuff and bags in the sale too

They make reasonable quality shoes, it's just a shame all the shoes on sale are really fugly

Quite a few kids shoes on offer too

Don't forget quidco 3% of store collections and 7% for complete online

I used to really like Clarks and have bought quite a number of pairs in the past, but lately my impression is that they have sold their soul to the devil in the interest of profit margins. Last couple of pairs I have bought from them have been surprisingly poor quality and I have now given up on them.

No voted on this deal either way.

I like Clarks stuff but you would need a Volvo, comfortable slacks and a nice warm winter coat to go with those bad boys.

I resent that. I'd buy these, wear slacks and have a nice warm winter coat - I like to be comfortable and warm when I'm on the streets all day selling smack.

I like Clarks shoes but the customer service is equaled only by Dixons/PC World oO

Try their factory outlet shops at the likes of Royal Quays at North Shields.
Good prices there.
I won't vote, purely for the poor after sales.

I completely agree - took back the last pair I bought, once they started falling to pieces the week after I bought them (with the receipt) and manager all but told me to **** off!

In retrospect, maybe I don't agree that the after sales is poor - its simply non-existent.

I bought 2 pairs last time they had a sale - both pairs stripped my heel bare within 500 yards. wish I hadn't bought high heels now, lol

I bought the above last time they had their 50%off sale. Seem good quality, but I found them to be quite uncomfortable - there's zero arch and and gave me blisters on the back of my heels until I broke them in (2-3 weeks of pain)
I've had to purchase separate arch and then recently innersole, because they made my feet sore.

Although the shoe I bought is slightly different than the one pictured in this post, I have a suspicion that they may be equally uncomfortable. Try before you buy (I did, but only to test size)

I agree, I've bought pretty much identical Clark's shoes for about the last 4 years, the first pair lasted best part of 2 years, the second pair about a year and the third pair have worn through the heels after 5 months. Presumably they are using cheaper, shorter lasting materials.

"Hol' up yu foot an' show yu Clarks bootie

Show crowd a people yu trash an' ready

Say in me all wool an' me knits ganzie"

you wouldnt catch me in a pair of them boats
no way babey baybey

Keep checking Clark's though. Theres always some good shoes half price.
The people sneering are the kind of people who'd pay treble this for Made In China "name" makes nowhere near as good as this. (And yes, I'm aware these are probably made in China too. But the build quality is still much better than most)
Enjoy your Nike/Reebok £70 trainers.....
