What an annoying website, you can't browse any products without having to log in.
Edit:
In fact the big box that flashes up in the middle of the page unless you log in clearly shows that they have a 4.8 rating on Trustpilot, however check Trustpilot and its acutully 2.5.
I've never heard of the company and it looks quite shoddy to me.

Or arthritis....

Not sure these are any better than hitec ones at £30/40..
Think they are more about using the Berghaus name..

Yeha, that really annoyed me. I will not use the website purely based on that. I also checked out their shoddy Trust Pilot reviews;a void.

Tip, if you want to ever get rid of pop-ups like that in the future, use a browser extension called 'Quick Javascript Switcher'. When anything like that pops up, you press one button and it all disappears.

You're welcome! Erm, I'm not sure. I use the extension in Chrome, but there might be one for the FireFox application.

The reason for the long lead time is that Sport Pursuit only carry stock for some of the lines that they sell. These are are normally dispatched a day or two after ordering. For other lines, like this one, they collect all the orders together and then place an order on their supplier. The theory is that they can offer better prices knowing that they shouldn't end up with excess stock.

I understand why people are reluctant to sign up to a site before getting to see it. All I can say is that I am glad that I did as they regularly have very good prices on outdoor clothing, normally for last year's model. Their service has always been smack on and items have always been delivered when they are supposed to be, including the bulk ordering items.

The Trust Pilot reviews (real one's, not the fake one's) beg to differ. Clarity on that delivery would be nice, rather than the leverage they are pulling. Thanks for your anecdotal experience though.

I am not sure which Sport Pursuit that you are looking at on Trust Pilot but the one I buy from has a 4.8 rating including the the 5 star one that I left.

This one:

uk.trustpilot.com/rev…com (2.5/5). Looking deeper on Reddit and other Forums, a lot of people have had many trepidations.

How about the correct one with over 20,000 reviews?

Correct sport pursuit trust pilot page
Forcing users to sign up is bad ux and bad business decision.

If theyre that forceful in acquiring your email, imagine what they'll do with it once they have. Spam you or forward your details. Not that other less agressive companies don't do the same but this is dumb. And i wont give my email, I wont buy

What sites do you use that doesn't require an email?
I've been a member for several years - had no problems with 7 or 8 orders and 1 return. Probably no more spam than any other site that I have ordered from either.
Only slightly annoying aspect is that the lead time can be a little longer than places that have stock - but am happy to wait if the price is decent, and they don't try and hide this.

Youre forced to give your email before BROWSING the website, never had to do this on an ecommerce website. Theyre turning away customers effectively.

Just reading the 1st page and you can tell its full of fake reviews.
Thank you

I genuinely don't know how you can tell if they are fake are not. I know that the one I left isn't fake.
Good spot @Cono_McLaughlin Thanks for sharing!
The website requires registration even to view. So its a no go from me.

If genuine the price is a good £20 cheaper than Amazon.

With any shoe or boot you really need to try it somewhere first before committing to an online order. Sizes and fitting vary enormously both between the same brand and different brands. Also as you will be wearing them for long periods of time in challenging environments you real need to be sure they are perfect for you otherwise you will be in agony for hours.

The negativity here is surprising. I’ve been buying from them since 2012 and never had any issues. I can totally see why having to sign up before being able to browse would be annoying, though.

Look into the reviewers, how many reviews have they left for how many different firms? Most people only go online to leave negative reviews when they are annoyed with a service or when they've had a brilliant service, what's so great about ordering a product and getting it delivered.
Just look at 'Sydney Resident' whom is based in Taiwan, left two 5 star reviews both for this firm.
If you believe that's an honest review then I'm a billionaire whom is needing to transfer all my funds to you, all I need from you is your bank account details and all your personal info......
ridiculous website!!

Frustrating to some who don't understand it, sure, but not really a bad business decision when you think about what it's there for.

It's a 'wall' designed to keep Berghaus happy whilst clearing stock for them - products & pricing won't be broadcast/searchable across google/shopping etc. Brands feel better knowing their clearance prices are a bit more hidden from view (even if it just requires a customer sign up) - it allows brands to get rid of excess stock without negatively affecting brand image (i.e. selling at heavy discount on their own site).

If this sign up 'wall' didn't exist, perhaps Berghaus (and many other brands) wouldn't want to feature on the SportPursuit site?
Estimated dispatch date now showing as 22 September.
Back in stock now (selected izes only) with despatch within 2 working days.
Crap website, wanted to buy, but would not let me browse without an email address that needed verification.
I would stay away from this site
