yeah..but not get your head shot off whilst reading it....

tony42hants

... works with rechargeable solar cell

Gonna be tough to self-charge if constantly hidden by military fatigues oO

here here tony, well said! I like it! good price for a citizen ed!

At that price, you could buy a Sekonda

Good price for an Ecodrive. Mine still going strong 5 years on. Nice suspend mode feature. Heat from me.

Forget military, grey hands on a grey background.....sounds like Mission Impossible to tell the time to me!!!!

The time is Top Secret.....

If you actually read the link "stealth" watch, it does EXACTLY what the description says it's not a "bling watch"

HOT price great make

You're posting a Very deal. You have got to expect a negative reaction. Very, like Tesco Direct, are well known for advertising goods and then cancelling orders.

I see that your profile picture is a cat - Sourpuss?

Good deal heat added!

Not my taste, but that's subjective........ but you cant knock £60 for a citizen eco drive.
Heat.

No battery works with rechargeable solar cell

This common misconception again......... It does have a battery, a rechargeable battery. Eco Drives get their power from this battery and the battery is kept charged up by the solar cell.

If I was still in the military I would have this like a shot,no pun intended

Heat added just for being a great price for a Citizen eco-drive, but to be honest, what were Citizen thinking of, grey face, grey hands and grey numerals? Stealth sounds cool but usable is better.

Could anyone tell me how I would go about replacing the strap with something different? Is it as simple as buying one that is the same width or is there more to it?

You just measure the lug width and buy any strap with that width..... its probably 22mm, most of my watches are.... but may be a different size.

Face is VERY dark, though - and if military, hardly think the letters and numbers'd light up !

Excellent price, the Eco-drive range are amongst the most reliable watches available.

Speaking from experience there is nothing worse than being deep behind enemy lines on a covert mission, when all of a sudden your position is given away by the overly legible numerals on your watch face. This stealth watch seems like just the ticket.

Bought 2 for presents last week. Nice watches but useless in the dark which is a shame because they are nice looking watches. Sent them both back.

I like it! Thank you tony42hants!

Another one for the collection heat added thanks op.

What a beauty...Thanks mate!

Thanks! I'll see if I can find out the lug width then. I really like this watch but from the pictures, the strap looks fugly.

Good deal OP the haters gonna hate but personally I think it would be well suited to the military. I'm sure a diamanté watch would be easier to read but might slightly **** of the Sgt Major.

If it's got glow in the dark hands or a subtle back light then it'll be fine. I still prefer watches with an NSN though.

Pros: nice lookingCons: impossible to see the time

I have a Citizen Eco drive watch (nothing like this) and love it. Just thinking, a lot of men's watches seem to be 'faceless' - or really dark - I thought it was just a fashion thing at the moment.

Looks naff unfortunately

Yep from Wikki

Most Eco-Drive type watches are equipped with a special titanium lithium ion secondary battery charged by an amorphous silicon photocell located behind the dial. Light passes through the crystal and dial before reaching the photocell.

Depending on the electronic movement, a fully charged secondary power cell could run with no further charging from 30 days to 3,175 days (8.7 years), though most Eco-Drive men's watch models offer a six-month power reserve. If kept from light for an extended period, some Eco-Drive movement models can hibernate, where the hands of the watch stop and the internal quartz movement continues to track the correct time. When subsequently exposed to sufficient light, the hands move to the proper positions and resume regular timekeeping

if you are a new customer you can get £30 off by buying it through their credit account 4KMY4

deffo not for everyone but for £30 i will give it a shot.

I've heated this deal, but I think a dab of luminous paint even just on the hands would have made this a much nicer proposition.

I've just applied the voucher code and got it for £30. But I'm confused...It says total to pay £60 below the £30 voucher code in order total. Even though a voucher of £30 has been applied? Can someone please clarify this as I don't understand how these credit accounts work as I've never opened one before. Many Thanks for your help
