Find an Aldi on a busy day and be in a long cue you may get away with it. If you don't just say they're too much and walk away. Got to be orth a try.

I must say they are very cheap nasty wellies and I was not sure if I should bother paying eight quid for them, but now I'm quite happy with them

Cheaper than Durex.

Wouldn't happen in my locals, they would rather make the queue wait and go hunt the correct barcode than allow their store to lose out

This is just dishonest
I know everyone out for a deal but this isnt the way to do it IMO

Can't see why this is dishonest. I didn't take a gun into the shop.

The shop is a cheap "bargain" shop and I'm sure we have all been overcharge for stuff and only spotted it when we get home (I now check my bill after being charged twice by Aldi in the past). That in its self would not excuse dishonesty. We could talk about invitation to treat and things of that nature, however in the end everyone in business makes deals and gives discounts to suit a customer.

I did not cajole or badger the assistant in to selling the goods. Aldi is a big company that will sort out or catch problems like this before they hit the shops if they wish to stay in business. Sometimes in business you win some you lose. If they screw up on a special that they have advertised for a fortnight and cannot get the pricing sorted, that has to be their problem. The guy at the till had two options. I got a bargain. And maybe most importantly I will go to Aldi again and maybe again. Have they lost a pair of wellies or kept a bargain hunting customer who has just directed others in to the store (rhetorical).

If anyone feels morally challenged please do not buy these boots. Please don't take guns in to the shop (and don't run with scissors)! Let the staff or manager make a decision, and you make yours. But if we all act like sheep and just pay what we are asked this website would not exist and you would not be reading this $^&%$*%

Happy shopping!

wonder if the air freshener is scanning as wellies great find though thanks for posting
