Hehe "TIT"

How popular (or unpopular) will you be getting your wife a £21 ring, though ?

"How popular (or unpopular) will you be getting your wife a £21 ring, though ?"

I think you'd be unpopular as it's a gents ring!

Oh, I see. In that case, decent deal

Great deal, if your wife insists on you having one get a cool titanium one!

Mine's titanium - a nice thought while wearing this is that they cant cut through titanium at the hospital - if you have some sort of accident and your hand swells, it'll be your finger they have to cut not the ring

I'm not getting married, or looking to buy this ring, but somehow this put me at ease

Bought my other half an almost identical ring to this for his birthday a few years back- was over £100 at Beaverbrooks - great deal

Nice ring, but hate the diamond.

wonder how small said 'diamond' is....

diamond detail, aka glass

Do a Prince William and don't wear one (the classier option).

Just wear it with the 'diamond' facing inwards

That's assuming they have that kind of strong cutting tool at the hospital. It doesn't take much to cut through gold, but are you willing to take the chance that those ring cutters are standard issue at your local A&E - or that one can be found in time?

Is quite nice too if you don't fancy a diamond

Every ring should have a bevelled edge for ease of use !! oO

It's Tungsten Carbide you are thinking of, it can't be cut but it can be clamped off.

not sure what all the fuss is about RRP is only £35.90, hardly a bargain.

In time for what? What life threatening accident is going to require the time sensitive removal of a ring from a single finger? Considering the likelihood of that ... great deal and I may just get one to replace my silver ring.

As its a mans ring, I suspect not very popular.

Cheaper and easier for A&E to remove should the need arise..

how about a Divorce Ring? X)

Have to admit, this is an option for my mister whos wedding ring has become too big for him, he does not want to replace it, but is used to wearing one, this would be an ideal temporary replacement, and he wouldn't worry if he lost it.

Titanium can be cut with a bolt cutter or a jeweler's saw, or indeed by … Titanium can be cut with a bolt cutter or a jeweler's saw, or indeed by just about any other implement that can slice through stainless steel. Most such jewelry items (including rings) are fashioned of commercial-grade titanium, which is 99% pure. A common ring cutter, standard equipment in most emergency rooms, is all that is needed to remove a titanium ring from whatever body part it adorns. Aerospace (or aircraft) grade titanium is more difficult to saw through because it is not pure but rather a special alloy meant to be used under high stress conditions, and it should therefore be eschewed by those seeking titanium jewelry in favor of its commercial grade version because its removal could present additional problems. One could still be cut loose from it, but the process would be a bit more involved.

Those worried about getting titanium bands off their ring fingers should … Those worried about getting titanium bands off their ring fingers should consider that such circlets have been successfully removed from other body parts, some a great deal more sensitive than fingers. For example, in 2005 a German medical journal described the removal of a titanium thumb ring of 2 mm thickness from a patient's ****. Said situation (in which the ring was excised with the aid of an electric cutting tool) was described as having presented "an interdisciplinary challenge for urologists, jewelers, and locksmiths."

Nice ring, but hate the diamond.

Agreed, without it I may have gone for it as hate my current one

Are times really so hard that people buy titanium wedding rings? Its a lump of common metal with a little bit of diamond chipping, save yourself £21 and use a curtain ring.

great ring for him.

I only went for a Titanium wedding ring as my wife wouldn't let me have a carbon fibre one ;-)

All the money went on her Platinum one!

You'll need to be quite strong to turn the ring inside out though

cheap and strong alternative for bolt washers

I have a titanium wedding ring, got it mainly because i don't like shiny gold or silver. The main problem I've found with it is that it will scratch things very easily, i have marks on mug handles, the bathroom sink and even windows on the car. It's lightweight though so don't really notice it there
