That's one of the great things about life, everyone is different and entitled to make their own choices. The fact that you'd laugh at someone because of the car they drive says more about you than the person in the car.

Not a great price for what is essentially a lesser car than a Golf R
J2X06/01/2019 12:11

You dont even get the wing. thats in aero pack.

So for 10k I don’t even get a hella massive wing to show how big my genitals are? PAH

Not saying this is a good deal but early reports are it's at least a match for the golf R. Good to have a bit more choice anyway. Been nearly 2 years since my golf R went back. Time flies

Its no worse than the massive exhaust pipe tips on the Goif R and Honda R mind.
Its all a bit silly and modded 1.0 Nova like.

140i is a good call, I've only been in a 135i when they first came out. Hope the 335 is mapped lol

Yeah loads have been nicked, low milers are going for more than some mk3's, I sold my mk3 just before the head gasket issue got a recall.
I tell anybody with a keyless entry car to get a Ghost alarm, when I did my video on YouTube I had loads of questions about the Ghost. Best alarm system you can buy at the moment I think!
Nah. It shows someone up for being narrow minded and not being able to accept that everyone is different. That's not growing up.

I don’t wanna grow up and be a pc old fart though
Cheers OP. We're probably going to be getting one in bright yellow. There's not enough cars with a colour scheme that doesn't scream fleet car these days
I think it's a reasonable deal. Having had S3's and a RS3 in the past, I see this as a change for someone in the market and you get some nice tech in as standard too. As ever you'll need to splash more cash to get the fancy tech / areo pack etc. Bit of a Marmite deal perhaps
You get MBUX with this where you can talk to the car like KITT.

I looked at the 140i how was it? Because of the kids too i went S4 estate after the Golf R lease finished. With just a pulley an a map (approx £1k) you get just under 500 ponies.
I nearly ordered one of these before Christmas at a similar rate, but it was just a bit dear vs the cost of buying one that made me think it's not actually that good a deal. I aren't sure that it's cheaper than depreciation which is essentially what makes a lease deal IMO.

The 140 was great. Amazing engine but somewhat flawed. Needs a lsd and some suspension tweaks to sort out out. The S4 is what I really wanted but couldn't afford the fuel consumption!

Just read its a £2.5k option thats a shame should be standard. Was the car a upgrade over the Golf?

S4 is manageable but if you live in traffic land ie London its horrendous.

I like the look of these A35 however there is a A45 S apparently coming with 416 brake stock.

The B8 S4 was horrendous efficiency IMO (having had one), B8.5 was supposedly a lot better. B9 is very good for what it is (I have a B9 S5 which has the same drivetrain) IMO. I have done 26000 miles in mine averaging an indicated 30mpg. On a run in have had 42.5 out of it. Best I ever saw on the B8 was 35 and average over the 41000 I did in it was 22. I don't mind bad economy when spanking it but when cruising along never getting good figures frustrated me. They reckon the supercharger on the B8 uses about 100hp when on full chat which might have something to do with economy...

140 was definitely an upgrade. Significantly faster car. More fun as well. Options very poor but the discounts were awesome. I got 24% off mine. A45 I'm sure will be stupidly expensive with very little discount available but it's a 50k supercar I guess!

The top of the range A45 AMG is coming soon. That might be more competative against the Golf R.

I don't really see the deal here, £35k car for around £415 over the term, seems about right

As with all leases it depends if this is the cheapest way to have use of this car for 2 years. Depreciation and financing costs could be more which would make this a good deal. Another potential benefit is the monthly payments tend to be lower with a lease.

Of course, it’s still a lot of money for what I imagine is a pretty niche car.
