Sexy car IMO.

Seems manufacturers are desperate to shift units.

If No Deal Brexit happens, following FTD with Japan, I fear for the German car industry... mind you, their cars just aren't what they used to be in terms of build quality or reliabity anyway and I think people are starting to twig.

Buy Japanese, Lease German.

Decent effort, but for that full HUKD authentic feel, it needs to be more like:

"Lolol brought 10 for the bay lolol".

Plus, you really need to come across like you genuinely believe that you're the first person to ever think this is funny.

Gorgeous. If I had £50k to spaff on a rapidly depreciating asset I would get one.

Indeed, My personal bugbear - Artico 'leather'. Sure I appreciate in this day and age that animal welfare needs to be top of mind, but just call it vinyl, not leather!

Bargain. Just bought 2 to fit a family of 4.
Got to say, that is a great saving! I won't be dipping into my PS5 fund for it though unfortunately

Indeed. I'm expecting Mr Bean to rock up any minute and start talking about why you'd be mad to buy this, stop showing off to your neighbours etc.

Sorry to disagree.

The latest industry figures show that new car sales are down 42 per cent so far in 2020.

That does indeed apply to the overall market but you applied it to this car which is wrong.

Until end of October when they come crashing down as millions get made redundant and need to sell assets.

Er, no I didn't. Please re-read post.

I said: Seems manufacturers are desperate to shift units.

So 'manufacturers' - can't really apply to one car can it?

Do you work in the car industry?
41929566-LiPMJ.jpg@b1g1an I think this pretty much covers entire industry and closes the discussion.

If there is no trade deal the Germans are stuffed. We are their biggest export market for cars made in Germany and their most profitable market by far.

We buy highly speced expensive cars from them they call the UK treasure Island.

10% import duty plus fall in pound in addition to the falls we have already seen. I wouldn't be surprised if they got rid of Vat on British made cars to encourage people to buy British plus shaft the Germans in the event of no deal. They might even add a tax on vehicle finance of foreign made cars as a further punishment.

Bottom line imported cars from markets we don't have a trade deal with could become much more expensive. Easily 30 - 40% more expensive.

Are we? We account for less than China or the US last time I looked, and their internal EU market is worth more than 3x what UK trade is worth. We are a big customer, that is certain, but I'd say 10% of output at best unless you have data to the contrary?

Yeah, seems about right. I'd guess as the pound has weakened they'll have lowered exports to us in 2019 too?

You did by specifically posting that in response to this post and this is 'cheap' for a completely different reason.

Don't see where I work has anything to do with you being in the wrong.
Rob.16/09/2020 13:24

Doesn't say which engine/power?

It will be sold in two versions: the 362bhp turbocharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine powered SL400 and the 440bhp turbocharged 4.6-litre V8 petrol engine powered SL500.

I have had both in 2 AMG C Coupes and honestly the Artico looks and feels better, plus it doesn't sag at the sides like leather does after a few years. Just my opinion.
Looks fugly to me.
Ooohhh analogue clock
Love it when deals like this get so hot whilst at the same time confident that not a single person on here has bought one.

I love driving BMW’s and have had 3 different 3 series including 2.0l Petrol, 2.0L Diesel and my current 325 3.0L V6
I have had awful problems with all of them and they are certainly unreliable.
The run flat tyres seem to wear out too fast and servicing and repairs costly.
They are fun to drive though but useless in snow being rear wheel drive.
Would I buy another BMW? No sadly.
I really like the Alpha Giulia ...
Thanks ordered two
