3993023_1.jpgThe Mercia 4m x 5.5m Pool House Log Cabin offers a large, bright and practical interior that is multi-functional. With a traditional, stylish and elegant design this log cabin would look excellent in any style of garden. This cabin is one of the largest in our range and boasts an incredible eight opening windows, alongside half glazed French doors. Whether you’re looking for a space to entertain family and friends, or somewhere you can escape to when you want to sit back and relax, this garden will make a great addition to any garden.

We manufacture this log cabin using high quality, 44mm timber log boards. The boards interlock to create a tight seal against water ingress and draughts while providing an extremely robust and solid structure. The solid 44mm boards offer great heat retention, meaning you can use this cabin all year around! The roof and floor are made using tongue and groove boards that form a heavy-duty and hard-wearing finish, great for frequently used buildings and for holding heavy furniture.

The roof is covered with high-quality roofing felt as standard, for further protection against the weather. Featuring eight opening windows and half glazed French doors, you have excellent views of your garden from every angle. The windows and doors of this cabin are all double glazed, providing the building with additional heat retaining and soundproofing qualities. All of our log cabins are supplied with a secure mortise lock and key, so you can be confident in the security of your new building.

All of our log cabins are made using only ethically sourced, FSC® certified timber and are all made here in the UK by our highly skilled team. Our cabins are supplied untreated and will require a coat of high-quality timber treatment shortly after construction. This log cabin will be delivered in individual tongue and groove timber lengths and should be constructed on a firm and level base.

I would never buy anything like this again.. mine costs 7k pre COVID prices that Inc building..

    Leaks and gaps appear everywhere...

Do yourself a favour and follow "oakwood gardens rooms" in you tube or Facebook and build a proper one.

They are more expensive but these things are waste of money. (edited)
I've been spending at least 50 hours a week in a similar 44mm log cabin for the last 2 years and had zero problems. It's been yellow warning thunderstorms yesterday , driving rain and thunder all week , and Ive been happily sat in my shed.

As it says they need to be treated annually with a good quality solvent based log treatment. This stops the wood warping or opening gaps.

They are best roofed in EPDM rubber sheeting, which typically comes with a 50 year guarantee.

I've insulated the roof and floor , but not the walls, in 45mm insulation panels. I use 1 x 2kw electric heater, and in very cold temperatures I have a 2nd 1.5kw oil heater. Here in Scotland I've been in it in -10°c. The only real argument against these at the moment is fuel costs.

Built properly on a solid, flat, base and maintained (painted) annually they should last indefinitely.

I have exactly this model, I erected it 13 years ago. It has been excellent. The most important thing is to treat the timber thoroughly before putting it up.
How do you suggest I treat the wood. I was thinking of taking it the pictures followed by a slap up meal.

    4m x 5.5m - more of a 'garden pond house' really!

Expect 44mm softwood to warp however you treat it, but hardwood would costa big multiple of this price.
