The mw6 is a more expensive product. These are perfect for most people just looking for consistent WiFi. Comparable to the MW3 version form tenda.

That's my point.
There's a kit for similar price with one MW6 and 3x MW3 .

Yeah I did look after your previous comment, why's it not allowed to be in posted?
Wifi4? Should 8t not be WiFi 6 these days. WiFi for should be 802.11n which is over 10 years old and sloooooow.
Have a look at a 3 pack of MW3. It's around the same price and wifi4 at least. Tenda

Think they (eBuyer) got banned for self-promotion.
I know someone that recently got the MW3 and the WiFi isn’t consistent. That’s from what they’ve told me and we’ve both done a fair amount of diagnosis but as you’d appreciate I’ve not seen it first hand myself. I use Google WiFi (2nd gen) and it’s brilliant for me.
To clarify the difference between this and the Tenda MW3. These are N300 single band (2.4ghz) only old tech really. Tenda MW3 is AC1200 dual band so better technology and have 3,000 sq.ft coverage which is more than adequate for 3-4 bedroom home. The Ebuyer deal with Free MW6 at £69.99 delivered is a great deal as it gets rid of any speed limitations with the MW3.
Do these work with Virgin media?

Out of interest how did you test? I got the MW5 last week and the max broadband speed for this area is under 50Mb. Ran some tests using net meter site. Using BT WiFi I get about 40 and with the MW5 about 41. The ping of the MW5 is maybe a couple of ms slower than BT hub and I get some more ping spikes with the Tenda. Just wondering if there was a better way to test?

I think all mesh systems will work with Virgin. Just go into the settings on your Virgin hub and put it nto modem mode, then set up the mesh system.

If you set the mesh system with the same SSID (WiFi name) and password, all your existing devices should connect automatically.

I had this on a set i put in for a neighbour, after putting 2 other sets of MW3s in before. Did my head in!!! Turned out the last set for whatever reason wasnt on the latest firmware, updated them, problem fixed!

Great system for the cash and for people who dont need over 100mbps speed.

Correct this will replace the Virgin WiFi, you can switch to modem to mode or leave as is and disable the wifi and use the four ports as a switch, this is how I have my Virgin router configured. I confured the Tenda with the same SSID and password and all devices just worked as before.

Just be careful, I was on Virgins 50mb broadband and used the MW3 which has a 100mb network port, and this worked perfectly. Then I was upgraded to 100mb and due to the network port speed there was a Bottleneck, I therefore upgraded to the MW6, problem solved.

One problem I did experience was my alarm system failed to connect to the Tenda combined 2.4 & 5ghz and as a result I left just the 2.4ghz wifi enabled on the Virgin router, but a seperate SSID.

We test each node directly and compared and we also looked at range, interference etc. Each node on latest firmware, each node hard rebooted. We are extending the test period to check but initially it didn’t seem 100%. That’s not to say others are/will be experiencing the same thing

Thank you. Wish the OP explained the difference rather than just pointing out the difference in price. Hope no one else got suckered into this "deal".
