What? It is what it is... Blended roasted peanuts... Nothing else. This is exactly what it says on the tin. It will never be anything else.
No salt (like the aldi version mentioned)
No palm (like aldi)

Just roasted peanuts. if you don't like this brand but like others, its because you like salt or palm oil in your peanut butter. Thats it. Its as pure as it comes.
Unless we believe in a roasting hierarchy like coffee? (could be true i suppose)

The oil seperates... This happens. Give it a good stir.
Pro tip

Keep the tub upside down when not in use.

And why doesn’t this one separate and go all watery (even after it’s stared). It’s that bad it doesn’t even hold up on a oatcake. It runs off the side. I wouldn’t buy it if it was £1. Seriously. Because whole earth and any other that doesn't separate, has Palm oil added to it. Meridian doesn't get "watery"... It's the peanut's oils. It didn't stay on the oatcake because you didn't stir it fully...Like it says in big letters to do so on the tub.

Only an idiot would throw away the oil... it says right on the tin to steer it up.

But then again some people still believe the earth is flat.

Go and throw that oil away and then go munch on your omega 6 supplements...

I’ve thankfully never had this issue with any of the previous tubs. The peanut oil had separated and sat on top and I never mixed the oil back into the peanut butter as this would probably give you the wet oily paste effect you mention.
Good deal from me

True, it is awful. I purchased it once and hated it. Went back to the standard aldi crunchy peanut butter.

Yeh upside down for a while before first opening makes things A LOT easier.
Even better than my deal! Im off to aldi to buy whole stock!
£4.99 in both Aldi's near me.
Stick it in the fridge, should help it thicken.
I blend peanut butter up with Chocolate Whey Protein Isolate, Oats, Banana, a spoon of honey, Chia Seeds and Water.

But I pour the oil away into a fat / oil jar when I first open it in an aim to make it healthier.....
Bargain! This is the only peanut butter I like 🏽

Because genius...

1) it has palm oil in this
2) it has salt in this. (you'll be amazed how much a small sprinkle of salt makes a different to the taste).

The one in OP is organic and 100% peanuts.

Yours is most likely running because you haven't stirred it properly. When you open it, the oil separates from the butter you have to spend a good few minutes with some elbow grease to mix it up nicely. But it's worth.

I know where I'd put my money... At this price for 1kg organic... SOLD!

No, just crunchy, at least at that ALDI when I saw it (Bournemouth)
I was half expecting a troll to reply. So thank you for that!
Anyone else seen in store?
This stuff is awful. Probably use it to mix with a smoothie / protein shake... Not a chance on toast.
As a cyclist and runner I go through a lot of peanut butter. Have to agree this stuff is genuinely terrible tasting. I don't mind there being palm oil as long as it is sustainable, which Whole Earth is. Nor do I mind some salt. I eat things to enjoy them. If you prefer the taste of meridian then its a good deal based on that, but its a no for me. Voted hot anyway though because it is a deal for the product, regardless of my opinion.

mind blown.
So surprised so many people don't seem to like this! Absolutely love it! Interesting the Aldi own brand equivalent to Meridian, both peanut and almond is very nice too.
This stuff is amazing, tastes exactly as expected... quality, 100% pure peanut butter. I don't know how anyone can say it tastes awful, if you know what peanuts taste like then you know what crushed up peanuts taste like with literally nothing else added, it tastes like peanuts....

Never would I buy nasty peanut butter with palm oil. Wholefoods is a brand I'd never touch, they clearly try to con people into thinking their products are healthy with their name and their label designs. The reality is they add the same rubbish to their products as cheap own brand labels.

absolute bargain if you can get it for £3.49 and far superior to that other brand palm oil peanut butter.
