Does this come with a german whip?

Let the peanut wars commence here's my rating >

1. Whole Earth
2. Sunpat or Meridian depending on whether you want loaded with sugar or bland as an England performance.
3. Meridian (Most people seem to like lots of sugar as a flavour enhancer, so Sunpat beats Meridian)

I can't find the £6 deal either...

Sunpat is garbage...
Whole Earth tastes like salted salt!
Meridian is what peanut butter should actually taste like... peanuts!

Meridian isn't bad but doesn't compare to Skippy which is available in Costco. Good price btw. H & R

Meridian has nothing added to it, unlike the others you mentioned.

This stuff is decent, has no crappy palm oil added like [edited to remove sunpat - no palm oil!].

For some reason peanuts don't seem to make you fat, despite being rammed with natural oils.

Great find!

they do, but when they are whole or minimally processed then most of the fat still remains in the cells within the peanut and you will excrete most of these cells still in tact and simply not absorb the fat.

Most things can make you fat if eaten enough.

Sunpat is delicious. It is low in sugar, low in salt and contains no palm oil.

Enjoy your jar of bland ground peanuts.

Nope it's 100% peanuts:

I get through about a jar of peanut butter a week and I promise you this stuff is much better than Meridian. Try it and then let me know your thoughts...

It has added salt:

Not that it matters to most people but still, Meridian is cheaper and 100% peanuts.

Apologies my mistake it has 0.5% salt! Meridian is cheaper. I used to buy their peanut butter in giant plastic containers, however I find the whole taste of this stuff completely different and much tastier... As I said I'd personally suggest at least trying this...

Hmm estimated delivery: 8 July 2014 - 15 July 2014... 3 weeks?? Do I really have to wait so long?

Trace amounts of salt OMG that's way too much. One jar of this stuff and your arteries are going to solidify for sure. Eat a few jars and that adds up. It would go from TRACE amounts up to like... TINY amounts.

Call an immediate meeting of close family and start writing your will, as if you do go ahead and order it then it's a certain death warrant.

dunno

When did they start making it without palm oil?!

After I've done the meridian in I'll give it a try.

Meridian is great, but for some reason I prefer the stuff from bulkpowders. (I know it's 100% peanuts so how different can it be, right?)
It also comes in a slightly oversized container which makes it easier to stir.

Found the £6 deal thanks

Missed it

You guys need to try Walden Farms products, they do great peanut butters too. A few friends I have in the fitness industry swear by the stuff!

Very hot thanks OP

£8.99 for 2 x 1kg Meridian

Slight omission; £8.99 + £13.39 postage.

Domislice

Slight omission; £8.99 + £13.39 postage.

Of course the other somewhat important fact is that even if there wasn't a postage cost 1kg x 2 at £8.99 is still more expensive than 280g x 6 at £6.00.

No need to apologise, just pointing it out so people don't buy it mistakenly. Again though:

£10.98 / 2 kg = £5.49 / kg
£6.00 / (0.28 kg x 6) = £3.57... / kg

This deal is £1.92 or 35% cheaper than your suggestion.

You're welcome, glad you got it, just hope it doesn't take the long delivery time advised

You're right, Meridian is technically the healthiest, then Whole Earth, then Sunpat, however as part of a healthy diet you shouldn't consume lots of peanut butter, and if you monitor your salt intake you're ok. Maybe I should have said my rating is based on taste. Meridian is bottom of the pile for taste, horribly bland, sunpat too sugary. Whole Earth is the Goldilocks of peanut butter, just right.

Whole Earth:

INGREDIENTS: Roasted Peanuts (95%), Sustainable Palm Oil, Sea Salt

Meridian:

Ingredients:
Peanuts Whole Skin On (100%).Produce of more than one country. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Free from:
Added salt and sugar.

Sunpat:

Ingredients

Roasted Peanuts (94%),Stabiliser (E471) ,Cane Sugar ,Peanut Oil (1.0%) ,Sea Salt ,Total Peanut Ingredients (95%)

I like the Mcennedy crunchy PB at Lidl - it's £1.25 for 454g at the moment (think it's on offer). Pretty good at 95% peanuts and from memory I don't think it has any palm oil.
