This is a good lightweight hat for running or wearing below a bike helmet on a cold day.

That's exactly how I use mine - Very thin lightweight Marino breaths well if your taking hard exercise, easy to wash and quick drying.

    is merino wool itchy?

    No

I can recommend these. I keep one in my coat pocket and one in a cycling bag. They pack down small so take up little space.

    Merino you say?
    As worn by José?

    No, Mikel.

Take note that this will not fit large size heads. I need a 59-61cm size usually, I could possibly get away with this if I shave my scalp and remove my ears.

Pardon? Did you say these were not Vulcan 🖖 friendly? Illogical!

If anyone needs one of these 100% Merino bad boys for a big noggin, I recommend ISOBAA as on sale in sport pursuit. I have a massive head at 6'6" height and mine keeps me well warm especially around the ears. It has so much room that I can pull it down over my eyes. Madness! (edited)

Is this a deal for this item? Or is it always this price? Nothing i can see to suggest it's reduced.

It's just a good deal, why does it have to be reduced to justify that? If it's not a good deal to because you've found a better quality item for similar price then don't buy it.

Looks like a cold day for a Smurf.

Looking at the photos, looks like it's a bit of a tight fit this?

Good fit on my 58cm head, above that I think the Decathlon beanie would be too tight.
