I recently started looking at the merlin annual passes. there are two options to buy either standard or Premium UK Merlin Annual Pass these are on a discounted rate for online purchase at the following rates

£175.50 for an individual pass

Family of 3 (max 3 people aged 12 yrs and over) £395.28

Family of 4 (max 3 people aged 12 yrs and over) £527.04

Family of 5 (max 3 people aged 12 yrs and over) £658.80

or Standard at

Individual £143.10

Family of 3 (max 3 people aged 12 yrs and over) £321.30

Family of 4 (max 3 people aged 12 yrs and over) £428.40

Family of 5 (max 3 people aged 12 yrs and over) £535.50

However if you're renewing your annual passes you get 30% off, now I personally have annual passes so I am entitled to this saving, if you select the standard pass for renewal it ask your for your card number to receive the discount.

However there seems to have been a glitch as when I clicked on the renewal for the premium card it did not ask for my card number, THIS IS A GLITCH as yesterday when I clicked this it did.

This means that for the time being everyone can get the following prices.

Individual Premium Renewal £136.50

Family of 3 (max 3 people aged 12 yrs and over) £303.60

Family of 4 (max 3 people aged 12 yrs and over) £408.80

Family of 5 (max 3 people aged 12 yrs and over) £511.00

I am not sure whether it works for cashback however it is worth a shot as you can access this page via Topcashback through the Alton towers website, worth a go for another 6.3%

For those whom don't know what the merlin cards are here is a brief description of the premium card, also when taking the premium card parking at the attractions is free!! This saved me a small fortune this last year as this can sometimes be quite pricy.

Enjoy 12 months’ of fun and freedom with a Merlin Annual Pass and access 30 of Britain’s greatest attractions whenever you like, without any exclusion dates (subject to attraction operating calendars and capacity).

A Premium Merlin Annual Pass is great value and can pay for itself in less than three visits!

You’ll also enjoy complimentary parking and the following Passholder Perks with a Premium Merlin Annual Pass:
Up to 20% off in our shops and restaurants
Faster entry into the attractions
Discounted entry tickets for family and friends
Passholder perks and discounts with carefully chosen partners
Discounted renewal rates

SAVE TIME & AVOID THE QUEUES: Have your pass posted to you for FREE. Its simple - upload your photos, select the Royal Mail – Recorded delivery option and your passes will be with you within 3-5 working days

ENJOY ALL!!

What would be the best value for two adults and two children?
1 child is aged 4 height 110cm
1 child is a baby, barely weeks old

These were £74 in January sale.

You have to buy 3

We couldn't afford in the January sale as money was all tied up from Christmas, but got them discounted for 25 or 30% off in April. Worth keeping an eye out

Do they ask for anything when you go to pick these up such as your old card etc?

I renewed in April and was asked to show old cards when picking up new ones at Chessington.

You can also pick up annual passes in exchange for Tesco club card points £50 per pass I think, however they are the non-premium cards

was going to buy this but wanted to check first. Did you collect tickets from one of the attractions? did they ID u? cross reference address as I don't have an actual Merlin pass to renew I wont be on their system if they ask for details.....
