The BIG January Sale - Lowest Price for 2014

Psst! Can you keep a secret?

Merlin's January sale starts tomorrow at 10am. And we promise you won't get a better price to renew your Merlin Annual Pass all year.

We're telling you this in confidence because it's loyal passholders just like you who really appreciate that the Merlin Annual Pass is more than a savings scheme for great days out.

But you might not know that we've recently spent a lot of time talking and listening to hundreds of passholders, to find out what you think. And now we know that whilst some of you appreciate the great value of the Standard Pass, others want extra benefits to allow them to make the most of every moment.

So this year, we're freezing the price of the Standard Pass and upgrading our Premium Passes with some added magic and extra spells.

For just £14 extra per person (family) and £20 for individual passes, the new Premium Pass now comes with a special Privilege Pack containing: introductory fastrack tickets for Merlin theme parks (worth £15), birthday vouchers allowing your to bring 3 of your friends with you for just £10 (saving your friends up to £35 each) within 7 days of your birthday and extra goodies and insider advice to help you to make the most of every visit.

Which brings us magically back to our January sale. Regardless of when your current pass runs out, you can still benefit from the year's best prices by renewing it in advance and then picking up your new pass at a convenient time and place once your current pass has expired.

And for the real fanatics out there, a world exclusive V.I.P pass will be launching in March 2014 with only 1000 available (sign up if you want to be on the waiting list).

Here's to a magical 2014!

I had a premium pass and went to each attraction more than once

Can I buy family of 3 pass as a gift voucher? I believe voucher can be redeemed within 6 months. If not, any other way of buying family of three pass to start from, say April onwards? I don't see the point in going to any of the attractions in the cold losing out 2-3 months on the pass.
Thanks

You can go as many times as you like

Doesn't that have to be for a family though?

I don't think so, three adults over 12 only even if buying 4 tickets, so I guess it is there way to force these passes off as family tickets!?

You can enter each attraction once a day with a premium pass

This will be our third year of Merin passes we get the family passes for myself, wife 4 year old DD, mother and mothers carer (carer free) for the first year with one pass upgraded to premium for the free car parking but this year bought all of them as we didn't want the lock out dates for the London Aquarium, don't even bother trying to go to LEGOLAND in school holidays.

This year we did Warwick Castle once, three days at Alton Towers, four trips to LEGOLAND, 2 trips on the London Eye, at least 6 visits to Sealife Centre in London and at least 10 trips to Chessington.

Its excellent value you also get discounts for food and drink (we take food with us) and in the shops

is this for sale on the website or at the attractions or both to get the sale price?

Was thinking of getting the Thorpe Park annual pass at £48 last week, but seeing as I live very close to Chessington (and really want to go back to Legoland), this may well be worth the investment! Been a while since I've been a-theme-parking

these things are simply awesome, my family of 3 have saved almost £1900 already, our passes dont run out till may and we dont even live near any of the attractions!

We've had the passes for a year now and got them for the same price last year. These sales cause masses of people at these parks now with queuing that wastes your life for a 2 minute ride. I won't be getting these again. I've had enough of this group guzzling people's money without them having the infrastructure to deal with giving people a good experience.

Great price if you like that sort of thing I guess.

Who can't see the value in these? My son and I are on our third year. We go to Legoland at may half term. We stay at a travel lodge and remain until the park closes. There are few if any queues after 4pm at this time of year. We have stopped off at Alton Towers both on our way north and south and will visit 10 or more times a year. We always dress up for Halloween too. We have visited a number of Sea Life centres too.

As well as 10% off food and drink, you get discounts on souvenirs and you can get a refillable drink for the year of your pass too. This is usually £16 for unlimited refills at any tussauds venue.

Heres a better deal: You can get a pass for free when you go on one of their rides!

Merlin don't give a toss about it's parks, they are going to the dogs. The parks are left to rot. I had a pass for 9 years and refused to renew last year.

If you want decent attraction and proper value for money then may I suggest one of the many european theme parks. Plopsaland is just on the belgian border in adinkerke (ideal for tobacco runs too) Portaventura (Spain), Phantasialand in Germany and probably the best park in Europe - Europa Park (Germany again)

Don't waste your time on this country, the queues, poor management and constant up-selling on park will just frustrate you and spoil the day.

Great -a year of long queues.. (_;)

hi can anyone tell me how much will cost family of 5 mum, dad, children 10,8,3 and to go to all attractions please

Merlin seriously needs to take tips from Disney parks for fast passes - they should be free and it creates a better atmosphere in the parks when your not having to queue all bloody day

Great idea. Now to find some transport / accommodation deals for Spain and Germany!

The price of £105 is that for an individual? So for a family of four (2 adults and 2 children) will cost £420 a year
Have a worked that out correctly?

Family would be £79 each for standard pass.

Can 2 Adults and 1 child (5 yrs) get family pass or three individual passes? Entry for Child under 3 years old is free anyway in almost all merlins attraction?

If your not bothered about the fastracks (and the queues, ride breakdowns, bad upkeep, high food/merch prices)

Then a family would be better off getting standard passes and 1 premium pass to cover the parking charge (yes another up-selling cost)

Exactly what I did last year- and just an extra £5 each for fright nights too

Do you have to all have the sane name for a family pass ? Eg my mates and I with our two kids?

Nope myself and my 3 kids have different surnames ...as long as you buy all the passes at the same time you get the discount.

When does the pass start? Date of purchase or when you pick up the pass ?

Does anyone know if tesco reduce the clubcard price of the merlin annual pass at the same time?
