Although heavily discounted, none of these are 50% off.

Is it transferable?

decent prices but not 50% off as you have said? Do you have a link to the 50% off?

I keep considering these. I live between Blackpool and Manchester, so there is lots around and these may be better value for me than most.

You get good value from these in Blackpool if you are going to up the tower, to the Circus, Tussauds etc, but Lego Discovery Centre's not that great TBH.

Not a bad deal but think ill hold on and get them with tesco reward vouchers

I had the voucher you get from Tesco which is transferable.

Hot. But cerrtainly not 50% off.

Wow, that's a 27% jump from the £78 I paid last year. And now my 2 year old is over 90cm he has to pay to get into Chessington (despite the fact he's too scared to go on the over 90cm rides!). Need to do some sums before I decide whether or not to renew...

One thing worth noting - last year we called the Seal Sanctuary in Gwent and bought a voucher for a Merlin pass in January and exchanged for a pass in March on our 1st visit to Chessington. Saved an unnecessary journey.

Having just read the blurb - seems they're adding a venue in Manchester too.

Cheers

So if you haven't had one before you have to go to one of the attractions to pick it up?

COLD they are not 50 % off they have been this price for years if I remember. Use your Tesco/ Nectar vouchers

In fairness - it does not say 50% off - that bit was added by mrbargain

Yes, I think so. If you are renewing though you can do it online.

Thanks for the comments. Not been to the discovery centre, naively assumed it would be like a smaller legoland, but it does look a bit underwhelming on closer inspection.

like others have said not as good as last year and tesco vouchers are a better option especially if they have a sale on them like before- £35ish in vouchers I believe

Standard
Individual £99 - Saving of £60 38% OFF
Family £74pp - Saving of £44 37% OFF

Premium
Individual £121 - Saving of £74 38% OFF

GOOD DEAL BUT NOT 50% OFF

cheap!

good find

I will be getting mine with Tesco vouchers, but this is worth it, going to Alton Towers once can make up the cost for this, depending on what you do.

20% off dinner in Flambos, 20% off all the shops in the park and hotels plus free entry. So well worth it, and that is only Alton Towers, the same goes for all the Merlin parks etc.

GOOD DEAL BUT NOT 50% OFF

Quite right. Apologies. Title Edited.

In my defence, they do say "From the 26th December 2012 you will be able to purchase a Merlin Annual Pass from just £74 per person – giving you a fantastic saving of up to £74!" which I misunderstood to mean 50% off but they are comparing the full individual price to a discounted family member price.

It's cheaper than last jan as we renewed and the cost was £93.60pp for 3 premium passes on family deal.

worth every penny will def be renewing my families

£35 in tesco vouchers yet you have to spend £3500 in tesco to get 1 pass??? think id rather pay the £74

We have legoland windsor premium, waste of money really...

Still damn expensive for a family of 4

got ours last year as we where going to Legoland so paid for it's self, since then been to Blackpool, London eye and aquarium and discovery center a few time for free so well worth it

I live 20 mins from Lego land and less than 45mins to Thorpe park and chessington.

Been to all of them many times in the past year and went to alton towers, sea life and Blackpool tower when visiting friends in Preston. It more than pays for itself to have family premium passes as soon as you go more than 4 times.

Don't talk silly. U get 500 points here, and 1000 points there for buying promotional items and insurance etc.

Ive only shopped in Tesco a few times in the last year - but got a pass wit all my bonus points.

do you have to take the whole family to buy them or can i pop into the london eye on my way home frrom work?

Premium or Standard? Their site confuses me SO much. Can someone give me a brief description of difference?

Whcih should I get?
Edited by: "Waffles" 27th Dec 2012

On the Merlin Annual pass website it says "Can't get to an attraction before 31st January? We've got attractions throughout the UK, or you could even get a friend to buy for you".

Has anyone tried getting a friend to pick up their passes? My brother lives near the London Eye and I was thinking of getting him to pick up our family passes to save a trip into London but I don't know what documentation he'll need, photos, our IDs, etc? I tried e-mailing Merlin before Christmas but no reply. Thanks.

My sister has said she'll buy me this for Christmas. Does anyone know if she can go to Madame Tussaud's and buy it for me or do I have to buy it in person?

Also, if I purchase a 3 person family ticket. Do all 3 have to go together or can 2 go without the third?

Is it me or is it not £46 in tesco vouchers?! Wish it was £35 because then I could get one! Thinking of just buying one outright.

just tried to buy one cheapest price for a standard 143 from legoland

£143? Did you not mention the deal at all? What did they say?

whats there to mention? went on the merlins website clicked sale price, clicked on the standard and pick up from legoland and that price came up, was looking forward to this deal
