    Good deal but buyers need to be aware that it only supports 2.4ghz and not 5ghz so if you have an up to date router live the Vodafone one with the latest firmware, this wont connect

    Yes it will. The Meross app is rather good and connects your mobile phone to the device and then transfers your preferred WiFi network details to the device and the device then connects to your WiFi at 2.4Ghz. At least that was the way I understood it worked on the last two Meross devices I bought. Much easier to connect than most 2.4Ghz WiFi smart devices.

    I’ve had this for 18mnths and works fine. Also works with  home assistant. 
    id like to swap them out with zigbee/matter based devices though.

    Dont do what I did, the plan was to turn off everything in my home by smart plugs rather than turning the plug off at the wall. With the cost of living being stupid I wanted to try and save some wasted energy.

    Plugged everything in, Series X/PS5, Virgin Hub/Server etc set the app up and thought looks great. Then started to power everything down and suddenly lost connectivity to everything via my phone app and wondered what was going on.

    Ah yes I had turned off the Virgin Hub so no WiFi equals no smart plugs. Only worked in I.T for many years so it gave me a good chuckle at least.

    On a kinda similar note ….I maybe able to beat that

    Few years back I had a bad smell coming from my kitchen sink so decided I’d have a go and remove the u bend bit to clean it all out

    Undone everything carefully and have the trap in my hand which was full of old food and water

    Decided to tip the everything down the sink and you can guess what happened next

    Any experience on them being non responsive like the single plugs sometimes get and need replacing? If 1 goes down with overload I presume the other 3 are dead also?

    As an alternative can you just stick a 4way extension onto a meross plug? I was thinking of doing it this way to connect to all my kitchen stuff like toaster kettle etc so I can turn them all off at night easier with one smart plug

    Wouldn’t use any of these smart plugs for kitchen appliances… maybe get away with it if the appliances are off when the smart plug switches

    Can each socket be turned on/off individually? I have a meross smart socket connected to a 4 socket that obviously turns all off

    Standard 4 socket strip with 1 metre cable and plug £3 @ ASDA. I was sent the 4 metre cable version for the same price.
